I'm not mad that Sektor got killed, it does piss me off that he is dead obviously but that's not all. I and many other people wanted to see Sektor vs Subby because that's the real rivalry Kuai vs Sektor.

Tell me, what's the point of leaving Sektor and Cyrax alive in the last game if you were just going to kill Sektor off-screen and have Cyrax never show up(Cyrax might have showed up, I don't know, I didn't see the story but I didn't hear anything about him so I assume he didn't show up.)

Heavily based on the fact that Jacqui has not been that well received and Jax is seemingly headed for retirement in the story way more-so than Sonya and Cage, yes, I think they will be sitting the next one out. Jax for DLC, possibly, but not Jacqui. Also, it wouldn't be the first time a 'jobber' like Tanya got in over Jax. See MK: Deception.

I never liked Sektor but the most messed up thing was that fans never expected this because he was perfectly alive at the end of mk9

Yeah, Sektor's fate looks like it's up there with 'Sindel's massacre of the good guys in MK9' levels of bad story-telling. I pre-emptively primed myself for Sektor getting thrown under the bus in MKX though, so I'm not as shocked as I would have been normally haha.

On the plus side, I hear that he's a fightable NPC in story mode at some point. If this is the case, then PC owners of MKX might be able to enjoy a modded version allowing NPCs such as Sektor to be controlled similar to Stuntman, Director, Goro and Kintaro in MK9's PC version.

Thanks. It truly was not a nice way to show a character, they basically took a big shit on Sektor. The way they showed him off is just fucked up, I really wish they realize how shitty of a move that was. And it's not just me or the Sektor fans who think it was a shitty move and I'm glad that it's not just us.



It's not that we didn't expect it. I've been a Sektor fan ever since he showed up in MK3, I know Sektor is not their most favorite character and I know he is not going to show up in many games. I didn't expect him to be in MKX but I at least expected that they show us how Subby took over the Lin Kuei. I don't mind Sektor not being playable and just NPC, but showing him in parts lying on a table and used as a hologram is the most fucked up thing you can do, all the writers basically stood up in a line and took a shit on him.

Would you at least show us what happened between Subby and Sektor in one of you shitty ass flashbacks? Could they have replaced Subby's stupid fodder chapter with an actual fight with Sektor?

I agree, it's just bad writing by a team who can't write an actual good story. I could think of 100 different things you could have had Sektor do instead of him dying just to play "Guess who's the bad guy" game between Subby and Scorpion.

But I guess thier only creative writing ideas are "Let's kill him" or if you want to be more creative "Let's just have him dead from the start without any explanation to what exactly happened" and I can just imagine the other members of the writing team be like "Oh yeah that's an AWESOME idea because we didn't already use death as shock value enough, LET'S KILL SOME MOAR!!!"

I hope that it's true that you get to fight Sektor but I doubt it. I'm getting the game on PC so it'll be the best thing ever if he truly is a fightable NPC like Rain.

I respect that. Gotta show Sektor some love after the degrading treatment. Like you said, we at least get Predator, a character that I like as much as I like Sektor, I might actually like Sektor a lot more but I can get through MKX with Predator instead of Sektor I guess.

They better have Sektor in MK11, after that fucked up scene, he better get a fucking spot in the next game.
