Yup, Sub-Zero's ending for sure. Scorpion's MK 9 outfit being his alternate, I find that lazy as hell. Baraka dying. Mileena dying. Rain not being playable. Fujin not being playable. Kotal's alternate outfit. Shinnok being big bad after all. Corrupted Shinnok as a whole.

The one thing I like about Mileena dying was she could presumably end up in the Netherealm, and she and Kitana could presumably end up on the same side in the next game.

I kinda like the idea of seeing those two as a tag team again, rather than rivals.

PS. I doubt Scorpion's MK9 outfit is his only alt, just the easiest one to unlock. I mean we've already seen his "I'm Alive!" Hanzo costume in story mode also. I presume that's unlockable somehow.

Seems like a fair few characters, if not every character, has three or more costumes before DLC even comes into play.

We know they can be snapped out of it with magic, as Jax, Sub-Zero and Scorpion (even though the comic book confirmed he's not a revenent) all are. Apparently giving them back their life and their souls.

All that said, wtf became of Smoke, Sindel, Stryker, Nightwolf, Etc? Do they get offed at somepoint? Do we just not see them later in the story? They're all theoretically independent revenents too now, if they didn't die. There's also the wildcard of Noob out there, floating around the ether.

He has a brief cameo in story mode as one of Mileena's minions during a flashback to the beginning of the Outworld War. When Kotal, Reptile and D'Vorah first decide to rebel against Empress Mileena.

It's D'Vorah's chapter. She fights, defeats and kills him in her storymode segement, right after they choose to take the fight to Mileena. He's the first casualty of Story Mode.

Like Rain and Tanya though you DO actually fight against him in his appearance. Which is... at least something.
