I haven't played it since 2003, where did they mention this in the game?!
However I really dont think those are dead Saurians washing up on the Kove and it hasnt been confirmed or deconfirmed.
enough of the dumb lackey versions of reptile how about a smarter more ambitious version who is actively trying to restore his race/homeworld/realm or at the very least seeking revenge on the factions under shao khan who destroyed it.

I would absolutely love that!
The reason Reptile became Shao Kahn's lackey is because he thought that Kahn could restore his people. The same with why he joined Shinnok in MK4. And since Kahn has been obliterated, hopefully Reptile will be a bit more pro-active as a character.

Reptile and Baraka are interesting in that I'd love to have those two back because they're my favs but I also wouldn't mind descendants because it can give NRS a new take on Tarkatans and Saurians that you might not have gotten with Reptile and Baraka. Sheeva would be great for the role of a good shokan. But considering she's probably the least liked original classic character (maybe not as bad as Chameleon) I doubt we'll be seeing her any time soon.

Ugh, I absolutely hate when people say "they NEED" or "we NEED"... there is no needs, only wants.

Personally I'd like for NRS to base Reptile's look on his MK4 self. Not costume wise, but body and facial wise. I think he looked his best in MK4, being a humanoid serpent rather than a a green-scaled Baraka, which he basically looked like in MKSM/MKA.

I personally disagree with what you said about Reptile in MKSM and Armageddon, but I must say that his MK4 costume was cool too (unlike his MKDA look).

They could be taking their time with revealing Reptile, because of doing a good revamp. Characters like him need a lot of detailing, as to being reptilian tongue
