No, If Khameleon ever became relevant in the non-Trilogy games, I'd want her to be on her own- playable, cool re-design, and some epic original moves. I'd love to see her storyline with Reptile develop, but I don't want it to be cheesy lol. I'd think it would be interesting if in this new timeline they flipped it and it was Reptile trying to convince Khameleon about what happened to their home world and he would actively try to dissuade her from serving whoever the current big boss is.

That works best. It gives Reptile something INTERESTING to do and it prevents Khameleon from having to redo the same story a third time.

Reptile hasn't truly looked acceptable since the 2D era- not counting his Shaolin Monks/Armageddon attire which I think remains his best look.

Honestly, for story purposes who really cares if it's the Reptile we know or some other Saurian? As a character, he's completely, totally replaceable. He's had twenty years of showing up, pining over his lost race, getting his ass kicked and slinking off into the background to serve as fodder for another day - minus that one short time where his body got put to good use by Onaga.

I'm not interested in that anymore. If we've got to have a Saurian, give me his next of kin, somebody else, his son/daughter/ long lost aunt/grandmother/creepy uncle, whoever. Anything would be more interesting than the same old, same old stale goon full of wasted potential.

If the other character's are anything to go by; my assumption is that Reptile will be looking his best.

Every character so far revealed has been the most detailed their costumes have ever been. His MK9 costume was so underwhelming with not much going on. He looked odd but I wasn't against the humanoid approach they took with him.

In MKX I think they will smooth out his physical oddities while maintaining the humanoid lizard look and give him a costume that does more.
..that is my hope at least. (because they will never go back to his human disguise)

By not thinking that there's nothing left to do with him. There were various characters who are fan favorites that had absolutely nothing happening to them in the last game, I can easily say Baraka should have another kin coming because he hasn't done squat shit. But, I'm not because there's still a good chance of something awesome happening, that is if the writers feel the need to actually up his story.
