starting to feel like this game will have more than 24 kharacters

With Boon saying this game will have more new kharacters than any other game n the amount of klassics we've seen so far,im thinking we'll see 28-30 in the final roster.24 on the select screen n the rest unlockable is what im hoping for

I hope for at least 30 smile with some being dlc if Havik, Bo rai cho, Fujin, Or reptile don't make it in playable i want them to be atleast dlc :3:legacy_tongue:

If it's any thing like MK9 then 24 plus dlc. MK9 had 32 total playable characters 6 of which were DLC.

Sounds good to me though I wouldn't mind more then 32

MK9 had 4 DLC not 6,

32 characters total on the Playstation, 31 on Xbox due to no kratos

I've had the same thought. But the devs never really gave a definitive answer either way, so it's not too surprising.

I'm expecting 26/28 at launch, 8 DLC. 8 is a high number but MK9 had 4, IGAU had 6 and I do think this game is going to be very successful. Plus, they'll all sell really well because there will be some classic characters who miss out.

If memory serves, Boon said at E3 that MKX would ship with at least as many characters on disc as MK9 had. The 360 version had 27, and the PS3 version had 28, so...

Not sure if I'm misremembering what he said, though.

Heh, I was totally convinced that we were getting 28-30 since months ago and now I'm starting to feel like it will be even more, between the revenants returning (if they make 3D models for them for the first story arc, they could optimize resources and make them playable) and all the new characters and pupils/descendants plus Kotal's supporters and possibly more netherealm characters. Oh, and probably Kenshi and more recruits as we wil need heroes in the side of the Spec Forces for the first arc of the game.

I think 28 is a solid number. Maybe even 30. Then add in 6 characters for DLC and call it a day.

Boon said initially close to the same amount of MK9, maybe a little more which means about 28-30. Add DLC characters and this game will have a roster of 34-35 characters. Mark my words

Well, the character select screen STILL has not changed since E3 last year. So I am not expecting anymore than 24 characters + MAYBE 1-2 unlockable through story mode. If we get more, awesome. But I'm not getting my hopes up and trusting Boon's word choice as he danced around a question.

Hopefully some good new characters. Save the best for last.
Dont be afraid of change folks. I got 7 MK games in my collection with the same hard eight in them. This series is due for a bit of change; it's afraid, and suffers of creativity. 24 kharacters could work depending if the rest all magically come from MK:9 or if we really get a MKX. However, the more the better.


MK:X is amazing so far despite who is in it. At the end of the day, I can't wait to play it. Im curious to play as Goro like the trail insists.

I still think we're getting 24, because Injustice had that many. But that's me getting my hopes down so I'm not disappointed.

Boon did say they were trying to cram in as many as they could, which means more on the main roster (25-27), but less DLC overall.

In the end, we'll end up with 30-32 (including DLC) regardless. (Injustice had 30. MK9 had 32.)

Took you long enough since Boon has said since E3 that the roster size would be similar to MK9 28 Characters. He has also said that 24 is not the roster size and the select screen is NOT final.

I still think we will get 3 rows of 12 for a total of 36

I don't think there will be empty roster slots on the select screen. There will be probably be a DLC tab like in MK9 or roster slots willl be squeezed in/added like in Injustice.

I could definitely live with that. Though I'd probably replace Jax with another 3D era character- Maybe Kai.
