As I've said, it's almost obvious, the WHOLE MK9 CAST will be making it in the game. I won't be surpriced if that happens. It will be MK9 2.

I don ́t think Nightwolf, Sektor, Jade, Stryker, Sindel, Baraka, Sheeva, Smoke and Maybe Shang Tsung will be back this time..
And I think we still have a chance of getting at LEAST one MK4-MKD character..

It's not even just the neck. It's also the brow structure, cheekbones, head shape, age, and the fact that Sonya is wearing one of the same outfits she has been wearing for years. Sonya was literally one of the five people we knew would be making an appearance before this game was even announced. This whole huge shock at her reveal is making me facedesk hard.

As for the reveal: No surprise there. Sonya was completely expected. I've never been a fan of hers, so I don't particularly care, though. Maybe they'll impress me when I see her gameplay, like they've done with Kitana (another character I didn't care for up until MKX). Hopefully her full costume looks good, because her face appears to look like trash.

Totally agree. People seem to be throwing the term "confirmed" around a lot today. She's probably going to be in the game...I mean damn, she was one of the few good guys that made it out of MK9.

I've been through way too many of these pre-release roster speculations to start confirming jack shit. Give me a video/screen cap of her fighting or an NRS staffer confirming and I'll add her to the list.

Mortal Kombat 2 was especially painful because it was such a huge success and it was EVERYWHERE - but you couldn't play as Sonya. Instead she was replaced by two palette swaps. That sucked.

1) Every other character shown as the leader of a faction is playable. 2) There's also the pic of Sonya saluting on the tower.

MK2 was such an succes because they left Sonya Bland OUT of it.
