From what we've seen he is literally Stryker 2.0.

I don't really understand it. Did I miss something? I read all the comics and have been watching every single MKX related update and there's literally nothing about him but his picture. Am I wrong? Has he done absolutely ANYTHING?

He just looks like a cowboy, which I'm not sure why people would even be excited for him in the first place.

I'm not at all saying he's bad or pointless, I just have no idea why anyone has an interest in him yet. I think people jump on him because they want to be the first one to like somebody and feel different.

If Reiko is in, definitely looking forward to him. Aside from that, I am eagerly anticipating some Shinnok and Goro gameplay.

You ever just look at something and immediately gravitate towards it? When you like something you know it. And I just really love his design. I love the idea of something new in MK. Gunslinger is something MK has never had.

And I know, Stryker used a gun before. HOWEVER, most of his moveset doesn't involve his gun. There's much more emphasis on his Night Sticks than his gun. Even Cassie uses guns more than Stryker.

Erron on the other hand, uses two six shooters. That's already more guns than Stryker uses. Plus he is seen with a rifle or a shotgun on his back during the story trailer. So he uses other guns besides pistols. And we don't know what else he has, maybe he uses mines too.

People say he doesn't fit, but what about those robo ninjas in MK3? Or Nitara in MKDA? Not all new things are bad.

That's why people are excited, imagination lol. Nothing is known except the style of guns he uses. It has the potential to be a really good new character but he could be a dud for all we know. He's just some earthrealm dude who went to be a gunslinger in outworld and was good enough to be important. If he does gunslinger tricks that would be pretty great. If he shoots proper like Stryker then I won't be as hyped to play him.

While I do agree with you, I have a few points to make.

Erron Black is not Stryker or anywhere near him, but I think most people will start to consider him "The better Stryker" and that will simply just hurt Stryker. Personally I see no connection between Stryker and Erron but I'm sure a lot of people will, I for one find Erron to be cool, I just don't think he is anything new or special like people set him out to be.

As for Cassie Cage, Yes, that I can believe, She is Stryker and Johnny Cage's daughter, nuff' said.

But she also has unique stuff to make her stand out, so people who like Stryker such as me, won't think she replaced him. I'm interested in trying her out.

As for the final thing you said, those people who say Erron doesn't fit, have not idea what Mortal Kombat is and never played any of the older games.

MK is the RIGHT place for Erron Black.

So to make it simple, in my opinion, Erron Black is very cool, he is just nothing new and nothing interesting.

They have different clothing but they both sport a fedora, amo, revolvers, and they both will stand their ground. Cowboys or gunslingers live during dangerous times where there's just no law.

Also, I don't get this comparison to Stryker. Stryker in my opinion was never that much of a serious character. His weapons are more modern where Erron Black only has his pistols or revolvers. I feel Erron Black will have a more serious role in the game. Perhaps, he is like Gambit? Maybe he's like a double agent in the story?

Exactly. And as much as stryker is my ultimate favorite of the mk3 era cast. He only used smgs in mka and beretta in mk9. Six shooters are my favorite kind of pistol in all of hand guns. Something about that spinning chamber that fascinates me.

He looks different. He has an aurora to his character that's different. We haven't seen a type of character like this before so I'm interested in seeing how he plays. Something that does bother me from his design is his mask. It just feels out of place to me lol.

I can understand being aesthetically drawn to a character. That's what originally peaked my interest in Mavado. What confuses me about him at the same time is his look. Is he a time traveler? Why is there a guy dressed like he's from the Wild West era in a modern mortal kombat story? Does he just like to dress that way? It's a really odd design choice that I hope they justify or explain in some way. Or else I'm not on board...

He's been in Outworld for a long time... Outworld is pretty desolate... His look would fit in with that type of world
