What about a kid that has already been (kinda) introduced? Scorpion had a son. He's dead, but when has that stopped a MK character? If Quan Chi is in this game, then maybe he secretly raised Scorpion's son as a fail safe to one day hunt down his father. It could be an interesting twist similar to Quan Chi's deception of Scorpion back in MK4.

I wouldn't mind seeing a new Raptor in the game instead of Reptile or Khameleon. Maybe the first male or female Raptor of a new generation? That way they can break free of Reptile's stagnate henchmen status and give us a fresh character.

I wouldn't mind this little story for Scorpion. :P It would certainly help build Quan Chi's evil character but then again if all Scorp's kid is another "clone" of him gameplay wise. I could do without it.

On the topic, I hope they don't go too far with the descendant idea. I also hope that descendants are allowed to be their own characters, not just some cheap continuations or combinations of existing characters.

I hope Cassie Cage is the only child and I really hope she deletes both Sonya and Johnny from the roster because I don't want pappa, mamma and lovechild running together hand in hand.

Johnny and Sonya can be in the storymode, cheering for their daughter while kissing, or whatever.

If Jax has a child I really gonna throw UP, that is too obvious and too boring! I hated Jax in MK2, in MK 3 he got better with the metal arms, but a child of him would probably be just like Jax in MK2, which would be extremely BORING as the groundstomp would probably mean the end of Tremor.

Mileena + Baraka = NO they both aren't human so the strings of time have little effect on them too, same for Reptile and all others, they aren't ageing like humans.

And with that stupid Sub-Zero back in the game (which should be dead) I don't know how much from MK9's storymode is true...

The worst thing for me tho is when Kitana and Lui Kang (both obviously killed by Sindel in MK9) for some reason survived and had this annoying Dragon Child, Ultimate Hero character baby that is going to save teh world like his parents.

BORING! I'm going to boycot the game if this will be true. Imagen a game where all old human characters (kung Lao, Sonya, Lui Kang, Kung Lao and Stryker) are back in the form of their children, it would be extreme annoying and boring and cheap.

I wouldn't mind seeing the offspring of Reptile and Khameleon. seeing how for these two characters it would be more of a story about survival/persevering their race as opposed to a typical love story.

But aside from Cassie, it does leave an open question, who else maybe an offspring character?

Now if this new Sub-Zero. isn't Bi-han or Kuai Liang brought back from the dead (and un-cyber) then perhaps he maybe an offspring?
I mean bringing one of the brothers back from the dead is more likely then that happening.

But speaking of Sub-Zero, I wouldn't mind Him and Sareena having a little ice demon running around....But thats just my opinion!

I dig the KhameleonXReptile idea. Shao Kahn has ruled Outworld for thousands, if not millions, of years. He's a crazy emperor with access to anyone he wants. He could have a large clan of offspring, including Edenians, Outworlders, etc. Having konquered and merged who know's how many realms into Outworld, his territory would be extremely vast. He would need local governors to enforce his will. Who better than his loyal offspring?

Edenians aren't immortal. They just have much longer lifespans because they're descended from gods.

We know Scorpion desires his family and clan to walk the earth once more. MKA acknowledged this and MK9 revisited it until he had a rage-blackout.

Why do I predict the Shirai Ryu will make a return? The dialogue. If Scorpion and his representation of the Shirai Ryu's past was limited to him, Subzero would just refer to him at the singular entity that he is and say "Scorpion". He labels him as a Shirai Ryu.

This clan has been dead since sometime during MKM and the only thing we have seen in regards to a return was in MKA's konquest. With a 25-year timeline, I truly believe Scorpion will barter a deal with Raiden, The Elder Gods, Shinnok or Onaga for their return. Depending on the circumstances, maybe Kotal Kahn?

I really think Scorp/Sub will be central figures in the story, this time. I see NRS bringing back the Shirai Ryu and with it, the chance to see Scorpion's son added to the roster.

Just a hunch.

I was also thinking back to the Cyborgs. I remember in MKDA, konquest pretty much gave away the possibility that things could be downloaded into the Cyborgs. It also makes logical sense. Cyrax downloads his fighting styles to assist him.
NOT that I am searching for ways to have Sektor stick around but I can't help but think this will come into play. A new Cyborg, possibly Tekunin, could be a main roster character. Even if Sektor(or Cyrax, for that matter) dies, there could be a backup copy of their consciousness. If this new cyborg ever connected to wherever this data is being stored, we could see a return of a classic cyborg in a new character's body.
I would prefer Sektor die, to be honest. There is a time to go out. If he does indeed gain control of the Lin Kuei and is ultimately defeated again, it should be the end for him. A pretty logical closing point. I could live with that.
