The reason I'm adamant about Reptile and Khameleon having spawned kids (maybe a giant clutch of eggs) is because those really do appear to be Saurian corpses popping up out of the waves. Those two are the last of their race (possibly Chameleon too, we've never learned exactly what the deal with him is) and so seem like a logical explanation as to their origin apart from "magic" which would be lame.

Can't see Liu and Kitana being suddenly brought back to have a kid after they went through the trouble of killing them both (if Liu's actually dead). That seems very pointless, especially when the template of two heroes already having a child has been so firmly set by Cassie. Seems redundant.

Always a possibility the Sub-Zero we've seen is another descendant, but Scorpion couldn't be so stupid to think that 25 years on, the still young-looking Sub-Zero before him is the same one who killed his family and clan...right? Unless that takles place near the beginning of all this and we'll get another Sub in the future. :)

Like I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm pretty sure Kotal Kahn was confirmed as an elder god recently at E3, which would make him Kahn's father, if anything.

I like the idea of Cyrax and Sektor merging. This could also explain y Cyber SubZero is Human again. Maybe the Lin Kuei scientist tracked down his 3 cyborg creations, then assimilated their parts to make 1 Beast-Mode Cyborg ("Tekno" would b a great name). SubZero's Dragon medallion couldve healed him after this scenario

Frost + Cyrax = Sub-Zero

Hear me out before laughing.

If this game does span 25 years after the events of the original game let's theorize how that goes down knowing cannon. Cyrax is reverted to his original self, He takes Sub-Zero's place in the time-line defeating Sektor who goes off and makes his own clan.

Cyrax eventually assumes control of the Lin Kuei and recruits Frost, who showcases powers that his deceased comrades possessed. Without Sub-Zero to train her however her power remains in check and so does her arrogance. This leads to the birth of a boy with his mother's ice powers, Grandmaster Cyrax grants him the code name Sub-Zero.

OR Sub-Zero is like a spectre because he did not have a fun time in the last game.

I really dont think the theory about Mileena ruling Outworld holds much water. Seems like others would have stepped up to take the throne for themselves by force. I dont think Mileena/Baraka and their followers could beat a horde of Shokan, Centaurs, or Kotal Kahn. Hell I think Reiko could overtake Mileena and Baraka.

Will be interesting to see whats up. Im personally hoping Prince Goro is now King Goro.

I've always thought that a Mileena/Baraka hybrid would be pretty cool.

But I doubt MKX will turn into a "family affair."

Her unborn child comes bursting out of her belly (alien style) and starts biting and chewing the hell out of the defeated opponent. That....that would just be too much for me.

Or maybe we go back in time to the point where Kahn is driving the Saurians to extinction. Those ships you see belong to his raiding parties.

So, y'know, if we're lookin' for a source of readily available Raptor corpses in a game that starts at the end of MK9?

Everyone is obsessed with someone being related to someone now. Pretty annoying, but whatever. I guess it's the new thing to talk about until more info comes up.

I think someone already mentioned it, but I don't think they would go the same direction (meaning having the kid of two old characters in the game) for more fighters. Cassie Cage is enough to make people talking and making MK a family affair makes no sense. I believe when Boon mentioned "descendants" he was talking about characters that are related somehow to the originals. They could be friends, siblings, students, etc for all we know.

I really hope we don't get any more "kids". I think Cassie Cage is enough. The only kid I might be open to is offspring of Reptile or something but that's it. I don't need Liu Kang JR running around.

Possible. I'd be surprised if they actually remembered that though; I don't think there's been another mention of the few others remaining at that time since that MKII ending.

Would also have to depend on when we see first that background in Story mode; if that's the case it would need to be early on as I don't think any race with enough corpses to be freshly bobbing up out of the water 25 years on would constitute being near extinction...unless Saurians rot very slowly and that area is just a mass corpse dumping ground with hundreds of thousands under there.
