I have family in Chicago and one of it's member (my cousin) has a good buddy who has something do to with MKX. They are drinking often together and talking about many topics including jobs. So they were talking about MKX eventually.
Here is what this guy told my cousin. Characters with quick description. Don't know is it true or only joke but sounds awesome :

Already revealed characters:
Sub-Zero - both brothers. Each have seperate chapter in story mode. Kuai is after Sektor and restoring Lin Kuei. Bi-Han is after Quan Chi.
Scorpion - Undead Spectre. After learning the truth about his clan his mission is to kill Quan Chi.
Kitana - Back from the dead. Neutral. She is against Kotal Kahn, Mileena and Raiden.
Quan Chi - Evil mastermind. His plan is to summon Balor who will help him ressurect MK champion Liu Kang as his revenant.
Kung Lao - Back from the dead. Cousin of young archer Kung Jin. He raised him.
Reptile - Kotal's ally. Loyal to everyone who has power to restore his kind.
Ermac - at first Kotal's ally, with story progress turns evil. Has Shao Kahn's soul.

The weird thing is...I've heard one of those descriptions from a friend with actual connections, and it's odd that it matches up. But that's only one person's description...but it's not something that is common knowledge. Weird.

Other than that, it's a bit out there. Hmmm... The idea of Sektor over Cyrax would be an odd choice.

Me too but it does scream fake especially beginning with the whole "My friend said this..." lol. Salazar Blade would be a cool twist IMO. It would also explain the random Sonya ending from MK9 with the whole focus on her father all of a sudden.

But that is way too many unannounced characters one month from release, if that list is claiming they're all playable than no way it's anyway legit. If it's just saying they're story mode only appearances, it's a possibility. The descriptions all sound legit and it would explain a few things, like why Shang Tsung is in the Web series.

That list is epic but also 35 characters, so probably bullshit. 3/4 would at least have to be DLC and with the 2 iconic ones, that would make 37 and Goro so that would make 38. Damnit, would've been awesome. Also, the fact that Shang Tsung is in there, Hanzo as separate and Noob Saibot makes it highly unlikely. Also Erron Black the father of Sonya...

The Salazar Blade thing is super intriguing. Could very well explain why we haven't seen anything about Erron Black. A lot of those casting rumors have been on point so that name could mean something. Maybe Erron Black will be revealed as Salazar in the last comic before the game and then Boom. The games out with a bomb shell.

But in all seriousness, I doubt a lot of stuff in that whole thing is true. I've heard one of those things from someone before, that I trust, so how he got that I have no idea. But I don't believe the Erron stuff is true... Founder of the Black Dragon? Older than Sonya? Salazar Blade?

Especially how many characters there are. I highly doubt there will be that many playable, especially with the leaked list.

Very, very true. There are some ideas I like, like Noob being a separate entity, the blood god guy, Kitana being neutral, Quan trying to make Kang a revenant, Shang being an anti-hero, Sub-Zero being both brothers...

But then there's some other stuff I'm not so sold on like Sektor being in over Cyrax, the Erron Black thing and several others just sound iffy.

...Am I the only one who doesn't believe any of this? KenshiMaster16 either your cousin lied to you, he was lied to, or you're making this up. Why would Hanzo Hasashi be an unlockable character when that's who Scorpion is? It makes a hell of a lot more sense to just give Scorpion an human alternate costume (which is what we already saw in the first story trailer) instead of making him an entirely new, separate character.

Next, Fujin? A spy? Why would a God be given the task of simply spying on an evil sorcerer who has conspired with the likes of Shao Kahn and Shinnok and is the reason for countless Earthrealm deaths instead of being given the task to end him? It honestly makes no sense.

Moving on to Erron Black who is (dun, dun, DUNNN) Sonya's father? ...Really? If the story takes place 25 years into the future, why does Erron Black look the same age as Kano/Sonya/Cage? If he's Sonya's father he should be way older than that. And why would he ally himself with Kano, who has tried to kill Sonya and help him kidnap Cassie? You could argue that Erron is just that evil, but I still highly doubt that he has any blood relation to Sonya.

We literally saw Sub-Zero (confirmed to be Kuai Liang via the comic) at the very beginning of the story trailer as Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei. So, why would he have a separate chapter trying to restore it if he's already done that? Sure, it could be a flashback chapter, but unlikely.

I could keep going but there really isn't any need. None of this sounds legit aside from the simple character details that we already know about.

Perhaps Kuai Liang rescues Cyrax and that explains why we see Jax out in the desert with that one leaked picture with Cyrax's code name in the background on a sign....they're getting him fixed up I think and turning him to good.
