Seriously, people should just be optimistic and understand there is a really strong chance that 3D-era characters will be DLC. No one truly knows what their plans are until they announce them or we simply find out ourselves.

If that happens, I say we mutiny. lol I mean seriously, if this is just gonna be their bread and butter from now on in terms of roster characters; MK9, MKX being MK9 with newbies, MKXI being MKX with newbies, then fuck that noise. If thats what we have when all the DLC is said and done, that proves that NRS aren't as brave and bold in terms of roster as I thought because they're just playing it incredibly safe and easy and that's fucking lame. They proved themselves with MK9, they should be able to do whatever the want and use any character in the lore they want and not worry about the stigma of the 3D games anymore. I'm going to spam the fuck out of their twitter accounts and I say we all should. If the dumb generals speak up enough for characters from the Trilogy list, I say we should all band together and create a twitter movement. LOL

Meh MK fans don't know the meaning of unity. Plus it's absolutely useless. The devs are going to do whatever they like and whatever the majority is fine with. We aren't the majority. We just gotta' deal.

I rather try and focus on the good than the hopeless now.

My guess is either 1) That is a secret character unlocked from story mode or 2) the more likely option, that space will be for DLC and will expand upwards.

Is it possible that boot 2 is Erron Black? I know it doesn't match up with his current boots in the trailer we saw him in, but perhaps the model has been changed a little, or it's from his other costume? It matches his style at least.

It's probably Liu Kang, even though it looks STRONGLY feminine. But I bet it's turkey head. We only have a month to go, the game is near gold, everything is pretty much out in the open for us as far as roster goes unfortunately.

Ya alts would be the only thing to counter boot 2 so far, but looks like its all been main costumes so far, and I think we have seen errons main, I might make a thread later with images and such

Not trying to correct you or anything, just going to clarify that Boot 3 is the one people think is likely Liu, Boot 2 is the one that's still a bit of a mystery. Though some have said it's Erron, although it doesn't match his in the trailer we've seen thus far. Could be another attire.

The thing about the main vs. alt though, is that we aren't sure what is Erron's main in the actual game. All we've seen is what's in the trailer. That could be his alt for all we know, or the boots don't have to match up with mains, they just have in the other cases. Or perhaps the boot was earlier on in development(it was sent out several months ago), and now his boots look a little different. His boots in the trailer are similar, same style and everything, just not an exact match with the details.

Eroon Black is seen in the story in the same outfit as everyone else in their main(kotals group). so i have to beleive it is his main.(but you never know)

and if liu kang isn't boot 3 then that would leave 2 boots unaccounted for.

now a real treat would be if liu kang was in fact boot 2 lol, that would lead to some awesome specualtion(and most likely boot 3 would be li mei)

Boot 2 doesn't match the style of anything Liu has ever worn before. So that's a bit of a stretch, imo. I think the easiest bet is Liu being the 3rd, looking back at his MK9 boots they are a very similar style.

ya but the image of liu from the tower is him in his fire god attire, and he doesnt wear those shoes(boot 3) in it, and well not boot 2 either

Well, there's also nothing saying that those shoes have to be from Liu's attire shown in the tower, or that Liu has to wear the same boots that his fire god outfit had in MK9.

There's just so many possibilities and factors in play. That's why this is so difficult.

But personally, I'm setting my expectations on #2 being Erron, and #3 being Liu, due to the style of each matching those characters. The theme and style of the boots fit what they'd wear.

I hope I'm wrong of course, but that's what I'm expecting and made peace with.
