That would be EPIC, and if I recall correctly it was hinted during the ending of SUb-Zero in MK9

Seriously though, isn't Mr Headbutt a Bucket of Chalk overexposed to the point that anything can be traced back to him? I quite liked him in MKDA (loathed him in MK4) but he shouldnt be the Albert Wesker of MK.

I firmly believe that Shinnok will make Quan Chi his bitch in this game. I can see Quan Chi failing miserably at multiple tasks (thanks to Scorpions intervention) given to him by Shinnok and also almost getting killed by Scorpion, just to teleport away at the very last moment. Scorpion will be the main reason that Shinnok will relegate Quan Chi to man servant status.

His death could certainly help the story progress.

If he's going to die though, it should be at the hands of Drahmin and Moloch. I can imagine them chewing on his intestines, and crushing his limbs with the iron club and chain ball. With him alive and conscious, in the meantime.

Quan-Chi is definitely in my top 10 of MK characters but I think he needs to meet a very gruesome death. Every great, evil villain deserves to get a brutal end.

I want to see more characters and a bit of how the story will play a role before I make my judgement. For all we know, what we thought this game's story was going to be could be something else entirely. Maybe they got too much backlash for all the "retcons".

Honest opinion, I think we've had enough Quan Chi. His appearance in the last game I blame squarely on them having a character model lying around, but I don't get how he ended up at the center of everything.

That said, it did set up the epicness that is sure to come with MKX. Wherein I hope he dies. It seems fitting that he dies in this game. NRS should consider it.

For sure, I thought most of the comments here would object to the idea and call him a fan favorite. I personally can't stand Quan Chi and hate he was ever introduced in the series. I have no problem seeing him killed off.

As a big time Scorpion fan I have to say that Quan Chi is the best villain in the entire game. The problem with that is that if he dies who takes his place? I think the story of Quan Chi should continue one MK game past MKX. I feel like Scorpion should learn the whole truth. And I feel like Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero(possibly the zombified version) will be Quan Chi's body guard when Scorpion learns the truth. It might end up being Scorpions job to break the psychic hold Quan has on Sub(with some help of course). Scorpion is really the only character I can think of who wont suffer negative side effects from traveling into the Netherrealm so maybe Raiden calls upon his services. If this happens They will attempt to find and kill Quan Chi. But that just sounds way too story book to be MK doesn't it? Ok what will really happen is Scorpion continues to be nothing but a pawn and Subby will break the hold and continue to be the good guy.

I'm liking the option of not killing him but making his plan completly backfire on him for once and make him mad and powerless so he has to start from scratch and never let him fully recover from that.

Quan Chi deserves death from either Scorpion or Shinnok!

Qaun Chi will mostly die in the next game to prevent the Onaga bullshit, but not in MKX, he's too huge right now.

I mean he's definitely a fan favorite and people like him but he's been forced and I mean FORCED on us like a drunken frat boy. Good God he's just involved in EVERYTHING. I was too through when he showed up at the first MK tournament in MK2011.

Look at him "outside" the Story and bio/ending. Quan Chi is an awesome character. He has a great design and cool special moves. He can get new kickass fatalities though, as his past ones were...meh. I do agree he is in need of a new outfit.
Another thing that would be great is he finally got his Skull Wall as a special move

Why would Quan Chi dying stop Onaga from coming to town?

If he dies at the hands of Scorpion (maybe teamed up with Sub-Zero and/or Sareena), ab-so-fucking-lutely.

If he dies at the hands of someone like Liu Kang or Raiden, maybe.

If he's killed off in some bullshit way that makes his existence meaningless, hell no.

I used to love Quan Chi and still do. But seeing him become an asshole to the whole thing have me wishing him a nice long rest.

I wanted to see him get killed by Kratos.

At this point in the series Quan Chi NEEDS to die. And I think it's safe to say that he will in this game. Aren't you guys curious to see what other villains are out there? I mean with all of the new characters we're getting there's got to be some other badass waiting to be revealed. Damn this wait is a killer!

That said though if he dies, he has some pretty big shoes to fill. That guy is a villainous genius.
