They already said quite a few times a while back that they wouldn't do the same character for DLC two games in a row. Yes Rain my be very requested, but there are plenty of people who are more requested.

Rain was redesigned. They worked extensively on his character model. Not a port like Smoke/Sindel/Stryker/Kabal/Nightwolf.

Obviously he'd be in. Most likely, him and Baraka were last minute works that just missed the deadline. So they'll be dlc.

You can see in Goro's arcade ending that both Rain and Tanya appear in it, and they have different outfits. Rain has his mk9 outfit on it.

Rain's not in until we see an announcement trailer for the next DLC with him in it, but I'd say this is a pretty good sign that he is.

I'm holding out hope that he's in for all the Rain fans. He was never my favorite, but it was always cool to see people get excited for their fan favorites.

For what I've seen of the storymode, coupled with Tanya being part of the first kombat pack. Rain and Baraka seemed extremely eligible for DLC anyway. Besides being playable their designs where the most retouched of all the NPC.

Maybe NRS and Boon will be oh so kind and include for free in a patch/update since they said they wont repeat DLC characters

Lol im not too concerned either way since I haven't really been a Rain fan since UMK3/Trilogy but I certainly wouldn't be opposed to him being available again.

Some 1 said in the stream that ed said there will NOT be another kombat pack & they will move on 2 next game after the kombat pack. Very stupid move by nrs , whoever is in charge of this needs to be fired. At the very overpriced way of the kombat pack, more dlc would sell better than say injustice 2. I don't like the 1st one and wouldn't even consider buying another one. Good mk dlc would sell. I don't understand. With so many requested characters being asked for.......
