Sorry to be a downer, but after your rampage, anything you say now that Rain is here would make everything you posted during the last week look really dumb. I told you the writter himself was bringing you a light of hope and you still acted like you was being mocked by NRS and entitled to throw tantrums all the time about how poorly your favorite character was being treated by the developers that considered him a joke.

Well, I mean, it IS the Outworld Civil War after all. If there was ever going to be a game for Rain to be in the roster of, this is pretty much it.

Rain is likely an NPC.

People really need to realize that a new model/design does NOT equal playable. NRS has more than a couple artists. They can handle a few new models. WB money can buy a Rain model.

Boot 6 is Kung Jin, not Rain. So I wouldn't count your cards just yet.

Glad Ankha is happy now, truly(though it's a bit silly after all that stuff from before), but like I said, nothing is confirmed yet. Different outfit or not, these models are all high quality, even the NPC ones, so it's not a confirmation. I wouldn't get your hopes up yet, until it's actually confirmed. There's going to be a lot of cameos from familiar faces.

Tbh I am worried about Tanya, Reiko, and Fujin...

A little respect would be nice around here, I don't recall calling you "bitchy" when the Rain comic issue popped up. So that's uncalled for.

I'd love Rain to be in the game. I don't see anyone saying otherwise. But we saw 8-9 characters in that trailer, that weren't shown before. Not every one of them is going to be playable. Rather than jump the gun and say "confirmed", I'd much rather people not get their hopes up just to be crushed from jumping to that conclusion too soon. That's all. Why does it need to be about drama or trying to ruin people's happiness?

Agreed. Add to that Kenshi and Jax who have been hinted at via Boon on twitter (Kenshi, Jax) and that Living Tower shot from the Next trailer (buff dude with cyber arms) and spots are going fast. However, I'm glad Rain has a presence in Story Mode as well as the comic as one of Mileena's warriors. It's a nice change of pace that they respect him enough to give him something to do finally, playable or not. For that alone, we should all be thankful.

I have to assume this was at least partially directed at me. This is very uncalled for, sir, and frankly very rude.

I'm anything but a naysayer, just a person that likes to keep things in perspective. Also, I genuinely hate seeing people get hurt/disappointed. You, sir, are obviously a passionate Rain fan, and the fact is that Rain playable is far from confirmed. He's certainly present, but playable? At best there's a 50/50 chance.

Unless you enjoy feeling disappointed and even hurt, I ask that you and others realize that a new model does not mean playable. Rain could be playable, but not necessarily.

To be fair, we don't know the time frame of that cinematic vs. the comic issue that takes place in.

The outfit change could be a reason for that though, maybe his old one is burnt thus he switches to this one. Still, it's hard to know for sure. Just making sure all angles are presented is all, not hating on anything or saying one or the other is factual.

I'll never get the hate for Rain, but yet people love the likes of Johnny and Jax lol.

I'm happy Rain is in, I've loved him since the NIntendo version, I always thought his abilities were awesome and I love that he's associated with queen Mileena.

Im just so happy that

1) Rain has an appearance to the story that may be somewhat important.
2) New costume which looks sexy.
3) Dropping kicking Kotal Kahn (a badass) from a tower is just too cool.
4) A sick appearance from him in the comics.
Even if Rain isnt playable (and i pray to god that he is) Im happy that he got this much attention and detail.

I guess just in general this is a very tough situation to confirm or not confirm.
