He is in AN MK:A INSPIRED look I think this deconfirms him and he is simply there as a story filler.

Roster size is more than 24, perhaps some sleeping people here will acknowledge this now. It looks like even Rain has a full character model, I am pretty sure he will also be in one way or the other.

After MK9`s story mode, I fully expected Rain, and Tanya to be the highest ranking surviving Edenians, and near confirmed as necessary for the next game`s story.

The difference is that Sindel is her MK9 model with just some new diff and norm textures. That pretty much deconfirms her. Rain has a completely new model, he's not sporting his MK9 one. That leads me to believe he's playable or at least, planned DLC again.

Just cause he, kicks Kotal doesn't mean he's in. He was also in the comics being fried by kotal. He could be just, in story not roster. I'd wait for gameplay or roster reveal confirmation

Call me a skeptic if you'd like I personally just don't think there is enough evidence to support a Rain confirmation.


Would Rain's inclusion bother me? Absolutely not. do I think their are more deserving characters over Rain?

Yes Fujin & Havik come to mind mostly. In the end though I wouldn't complain about another trilogy era character added. Just another character to learn for matchup emergencies in my opinion

I think he will be playable.

Ed said he wouldn't make people pay for the same dlc twice. Sindel just got updated textures. Rain was completely revamped. It would be absolutely fucking dumb to give him a revamp and not have him playable (especially considering the dlc thing.)

I'm pretty sure boot 6 was confirmed as Kung Jin.

As a Rain fanboy, this makes me content. I would love to be able to play as him, but even if he's in story mode, doing nothing but kicking Moral Kahn off a building, I'll be satisfied. Even if he gets fried directly afterwards.
