All I have to say about Quan Chi's reveal:

I like the outfit and his variations, it's about time NRS gave him a new outfit. The Fatality made me drop my jaw, suicide by sorcery!

I don't buy the skull being Shinnok though, the skull seems too big. It would suck too because MK X could reveal Shinnok's potential.

The only thing now with Quan Chi now that he has an advantage with the control of fallen warriors. I saw he didn't have Shinnok's amulet either.

Will Scorpion actually have the nerve to kill him off?

Closest I've gotten was MKD releasing the day before my birthday. Only MK game I received as a birthday gift.

Really?! I thought he looked scary af. Especially his face before the fatality when he was doing the incantation. I thought his MK9 model was plain ugly.

Wow NRS. It just keeps getting better. The gameplay, the x-ray, the hellraiser-ish costume, the fatality....Quan Chi is fully realized. Amazing stuff.



His entrance does have a "conquering king" sort of quality to it.

The character select keeps changing around with every reveal so I really dont think its just 24.

I love his portal powers, but I think they suit Noob Saibot more.

I hate it that they call him a NECROMANCER, but there aren't ANY signs of necromancy on the battlefield AT ALL!

Summoning that bat is cute and all, but where are the skeletons, zombies and other such monsters?

His x-ray is something I don't like from Quan Chi, but since every character probably has 3 x-rays depending on variation i'm fine with it.

His intro makes up for all of it though!

He has skulls... that's one sign. And the only sign, really. XD
I agree though, Quan Chi might be a Necromancer, but it doesn't reflect on his gameplay.

He kind of look like Darth Bane in the preplay YouTube video.

Faking amazing. This new MK game will be too flawless to deal with, I don't know what I'm going to do once this game becomes available in stores. This is too magical and fabulous.

If Quan Chi can do that.... then... I'm sure Tanya could summon some epic dragons! Just imagine the extreme epicness.

I would normally agree, but they've sold me with the variations. I've always thought Raiden and Kano to be boring, but Displacer and Commando look incredibly fun to play. So I don't mind MK1 alumni being the returnee focus if they're as fresh as they look.

All I can say is: don't get your hopes up. It's pretty clear the roster will revolve around MK1/MK4/new chars. We'll be lucky to get any MK2/3/5/6/7 characters*, outside of DLC.

*I think if we get one, it will be another ninja: Reptile or Ermac.

...he is using his powers to raise fallen earthrealm warriors and force them to fight for him. Sounds like a necromancer to me. I'd assume necromancy is just a small part of his arsenal, one that wouldn't do him much good in battle, unless he's in the netherrealm or by a graveyard.

Oh, he is definately a necromancer. But it doesn't show in his gameplay, only in story.

Ive never been a fan of Quan Chi but that was pretty dope, and that intro. WHAT!?!?! A HELL HORSE?!!? Thats freakin awesome!

I feel like Quan Chi has surpassed being a mere necromancer in this game.

Welp, I was wrong on today's reveal.
What bugs me is that the past tweets doesn't add up to this revealing.
Hell, even a shit load of people thought Johnny was the next reveal more than Quan Chi on the recent picture.

Congratulations Boon. You did it. All these recent "supposed hints" and they didn't mean shit. Ha ha. You....you....guy, you.
Now, whenever more "hints" are posted, I'll just be reminded of this...speculate all you want.

First off. Quan Chi was my boy in MK9. That Warlock variation just blew his previous self out of the water.
And not only his Trance is universal, it has a longer reach. HA!

What I think of the variations...

Sorcerer variation is meh:
Shao Kahn (king) and Sindel (queen) projectiles.
LOLWUT
I'm sadden that mr. skull chomps won't make his appearance :(


Warlock variation is god tier for me:
That grab attack from behind? How can you avoid that?! But can it grab opponents in mid air?
Then he just sends your ass flying all over the place with his portals, sorta reminds me of Smoke's "Smoke Cloud".

AND HOLY FUCK!!! THAT PORTAL SWORD STAB!!


Summoner Variation:

I can't believe they wasted the perfect opportunity to give him Skeleton warriors that help him in a similar fashion to Scorpion's demon attacks. FUCK THAT.

I cringed at the Fatality.
I cringed again when watching it for the second time.

I noticed when watching it back that I'm not photogenic, too bad, because I did record a reaction video, otherwise I would had uploaded it. I had a neat idea to make a "reaction video" thread for all of us capable. Not anymore lol.

That's why I like the word Sorcerer. A Sorcerer is not bound to just one school of magic, while a Necromancer suggests he can only do death-like magic.

I'm really glad they gave him a new costume, even though I'm not super impressed with it.

Riding in on that netherrealm horse is wicked and his moves and gameplay do admittedly look pretty awesome. I love to hate Quan Chi, and him being back here is a no-brainer. I'm glad he plays a big role in the story and I'm really hopeful it comes full circle and he dies a most violent and well-deserved death.

I have never seen people complain so much about something so cool. Not just Quan Chi but the game in general, it's like people are digging for things to whine about.

Quan Chi looks great, his variations look great, his intro is great, the fatality looks interesting, he finally has a new costume, WHY must people be so negative?

And are some people really complaining about all the older character reveals now? Which is just the opposite of how they were complaining about all the new characters introduced at first.....People are crazy. I've been very pleased with everything so far.

Oh shiat! Will Quan Chi indeed summon karakters that Sindel had killed in MK9?
