We know that shit ain't final now, thank god. The press got to play recently (and talk about it today) and Gamespot? (lemme go double check) confirmed that there were a lot of roster spots left. Polygon? (again, i need to go make sure) also said that they saw two unannounced character in attract mode, one of which they owned up to being Erron Black. Assuming they weren't playing the final build (someone would have mentioned that by now), I think we can expect two more reveals soon, one of which being Erron Black. The other is possibly an ace in the hole NRS is saving to debunk the "leaked" rosters. We know it's not Kenshi, the article already talked about him. It's not Shinnok, they talked about him too. Maybe Rain? Maybe Baraka? Maybe Fujin? Maybe somebody out of left field?

I'm not counting Jax, Kenshi, or Shinnok confirmed as playable yet. After that article about Shinnok on the attract screen I'm HOPING he is, but until I see a render or official gameplay image (that isn't mobile) I'm not jumping the gun.

@ Cyrax dude: Jax' is actually in game in the family trailer and his concept has been leaked, Shinnok has variations and Kenshi is in the mobile version and confirmed by NRS...how can you be so blind?

They have said a lot of times that 25 slots isn ́t the final roster.

By now i ́m expecting 28 Slots and DLC one replacing Random Select.

It seems like they're more proud of the characters than anything else this time around. They have the best art team they've ever had, and Boon did say in the early interviews that they were going balls to the wall with the characters this time. I think he'll make good on his promise of 30ish.

One of those sites also said they saw Erron Black playable in the attract mode, idk if you included him or not but I thought id throw that out there just in case.

Attract mode, as in, demo mode, when you don't touch the controller and you see the CPU fight each others.

Until I see them 100% in a fight, I know there's at least a chance they may unfortunately only be cameos. I just don't jump the gun like everyone else.

When was Kenshi confirmed as playable for the console version? In all my hours spent searching everything MKX based, I have missed that. And is there a pic of Shinnok's variations anywhere? Or are we just going by one person's article posted on the internet.

Shinnok, and Noob, or Kabal and Noob

Well, technically we're going off of what journalists that have been allowed to play the game by NRS have said, not just some random person on the internet. Good straw man though. NRS literally confirmed Kenshi. Jax was literally in the gameplay trailer posted today. Shinnok is literally the first boss. There's having low expectations, and then there's just plain being thick-headed. But you're right, the journalists that get paid to dispense video game news are probably trolls. They probably made up the Shinnok/Erron Black attract mode thing just to play with your emotions. Gamespot, Game Informer, Polygon, etc., they're all in on it. The probably has like 10 unplayable bosses. Sure, Boon said there wouldn't be unplayable bosses this time around, but word of mouth from the creator of the game isn't confirmation. Not until its in a screen shot.

I'm annoyed we haven't heard anything on Tanya hoping she's a DLC that talks

The team the previewed MKX and played it, stated that Shinnok has a variation called "Impostor". He's also described as having fireballs that come-out of the ground like Shang Tsung's and a classic special move.

Also, with regards to the roster, could it be tat NRS is trying to make up for the lack of evil characters by having 'evil' versions of players? Jax revenant (TBD), Kenshi possessed, maybe Liu Kang with Fire God..

I have thought this for a while I was like wait where is Noob and ashrah and some of the other brotherhood of shadow members to fight with quan chi and Shinnok then I realised that we will just see evil kitana, Kung Lao, Jax and subzero making up the forces of the netherrealm then they will come back and be the forces of good for later on!

Quite disappointing honestly

IGN said there's "a bunch more slots on the select screen". Hopefully tomorrow during the stream we'd finally be able to see exactly what spots are available.
