I don't think that there will be any surprises at E3. If anyone besides Subby and Scorp is shown off, it will be someone we expect to see. More than likely Johnny Cage, Sonya, Quan Chi or Raiden. NRS probably doesn't want to give away too much too early. They'll tease us with character releases for the better half of a year.

I'm thinking there will be 4-6 characters playable at E3.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero are locks.

After that, I'm thinking that they'll put in two people that aren't BIG surprises, as some people earlier in the thread have said, I'd guess like Sonya or Johnny Cage.

To top it off, maybe they'll put in a new character or two. Certainly no more than two.

I want them to not reveal TOO much regarding characters. Makes the process of revealing over time more satisfying--a la MK9, which I think had eight at E3. Decption if my memory is correct had I think like 12? That'd be too much in my opinion.

I'm actually super excited to see the usual suspects like Sonya, Cage, Raiden, Mileena, ect simply because if they're new designs are as good as Sub's and Scorp's- then they'll be just as exciting to see as Tanya or Fujin would, though I would rather see the latter.

I agree that too many character reveals too soon will leave us with nothing else to spend the rest of the year talking about.

It better be 8-10 characters!

If I recall correctly, last time for MK9, they featured 8 characters:

If they were to do the same thing with the same amount of characters, my guesses are:

1. Scorpion
2. Sub-Zero
3. Sonya
4. Johnny Cage
5. Kenshi
6. Cyrax
7. Tanya
8. Fujin

They already revealed Scorpion and Sub-Zero. I can see them reveal two post-MK9 characters to showcase some fresh, new faces. Sonya and Johnny are likely enough to be in the game to be showcased now while having new designs. If they had Sektor last year, I wouldn't mind seeing another cyborg if it's Cyrax this time around. And then Kenshi would be another character that would return from MK9 but being a post-MK3 character as well as being a fan favorite, I think he'd be great to showcase initially too.

Tanya would be a great female mascot for MKX. Just like how Mileena was for Deception.

I think it would be too ambitious to have eight characters in the E3 demo. I think probably only four chracters just like in the demo for Mortal Kombat 9.

I expect them to be pretty modest with who they reveal either in a trailer or a playable build. That said, it's gonna be really hard to guess who's in it without knowing anything about the story.

Sub-Zero and Scorpion are obviously already in. My guess is that they'll include a new character, just because there were no non-DLC new characters last game and people will be pretty antsy to see what the design team is coming up with this time around.

If the story is styled after MK4, I'm sure we can expect Quan Chi.

I hope Tanya isn't the female mascot of this game, at least not at the level of MIleena in MK9, i want to be surprised by her when the game comes out, last time we knew everything about Mileena, including what her coochie was like by the time MK9 came out.

Ed Boon confirmed on Twitter that 2 new characters will be playable at E3.

Actually, he said two of his new favorites will be at E3.

That could be anyone. Of course, it could very well be a hint to the new characters, but it may not be safe to assume just yet. Boon can be very unpredictable.

With Fujin's soundbite from MK9, I assume he would be one of the first (with the presumed new timeline of the game) to be modeled and approached. I'd expect Fujin for sure, at E3.

After the last Twit...I wouldn't put a lot of money on anyone from MK4 and so on. Mist likely it will Scorpion, Sub-Zero and whoever those two new characters are.
Of course there could be more, but I think its unlikely. NRS LOVES to be secretive about what they have in store for us.

I'm dying to see Fujin/Tanya and the like. But that doesn't exclude them either really, it can easily be 6 characters on hand at E3. I think-

You could be right but seems odd that two of his new favourites could be old fighters.

People get new favorites all the time.

Baraka was my favorite MK character before Quan Chi came along. Sub-Zero was among my top 5 favorite characters until Bo' Rai Cho grew on me and took his place. For Boon, it could be old characters or new characters. Or, he could be bullshitting altogether.

I could see it being Scorp, Sub Zero, and 2 new.

Just please, please, God...No Khrome.

Only character I want to be there is Reptile. Just to see what they do with his design. I have high hopes

I actually would not mind to see khrome be a new character. Its a pretty cool special ability.. Doesn't mean he has to be a ninja
