EDIT: Oh wait, I thought we meant from the playable demo. Yeah, they may show a couple more off. But for playable, I stick to my guess.

I very much doubt Shinnok will be playable this time around.

Like Shao Kahn, I think NRS is going to reserve Shinnok strictly as the boss, and I think that's how it should be anyway. Shinnok has gotten the short end of the stick from being playable. I think he needs to be buffed up big time.

My guess(or wishful thinking)

After viewing the E3 lineups for Deadly Alliance, Deception Armageddon, and MK9, I may found a consistency.

The recent lineup tends to show very few - if any - characters from the previous game, save for Scorpion and Sub-Zero. The lineups also showed only a few new characters as well, if any. This leads me to believe that we may not see any characters from MK9 at E3 other than Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

Hopefully, this is true.

I could see Mileena playable there with Scorpion & Sub-Zero since she is the female mascot of MK & she survived the last MK game so it would make sense, the other will most likely be a 2 MK4-MKD Characters & 2 Brand new Characters.

So I'm guessing they won't show the characters until E3's opening.

Disappointed.

Here's what I think...

He didn't get the short end of the stick from being playable. He got it from being a suck ass boss with no original moves. Hopefully MK10 will change that. But being playable wouldn't make him any less strong in terms of the boss fight itself.

Agreed. I'd want Shinnok to be playable even if he is the big baddie. That has nothing to do with him being super strong in the arcade ladder.

Pretty much this, though I agree with the belief that he will not be playable in MKX.

But she was in mk9's demo as well as had a commercial promoting Klassic costumes with Scorpion. Plus Scorpion & Sub-Zero were playable & also mascots of the last game's campaign as well.

4 characters TOPS, including Subz and Scorp. Believe it.

Dont expect one if them to be Tanya either.

I would say to expect characters that will show off their "variations" mechanic.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the mascots of the franchise.

They do not count.

And those two are obvious. Any other characters they show shouldn't be ninjas. I'd like to see more unique characters so we can get a feel of what the design scheme for this game is because right now it's rather modern and gritty.

So Quan Chi and Kai or someone like that.

I wouldn't count Mileena out as being of the few characters playable at E3. Neatherealm Studios love her and so do just about every casual gamer. If she's not at E3 then she'll definitely be one of the first characters to be revealed in the months to come. I'm actually pretty excited to see Mileena, I've always loved her character and playing as her and they have never yet given me a Mileena look I despised.

I can't say the same for Kitana. I hated Kitana's MK9 default costume and that horrible hair. I also disliked her MKVSDCU outfit, she looked like a cosplayer. If Kitana does somehow return I'm hoping her look is a huge improvement from the previous two games.

Fujin is a shoe in for sure
