I tend to lean more towards more original characters than descendants.

Like I'm fine with Cassie. If for some reason Liu and Kitana have a kid, I'd be fine with it. If Baraka and Mileena have a kid, I'd be okay with that. But anymore than that and it'd feel tacky.

Plus I'd like to see what NRS can do creatively with completely new ideas. D'Vorah, Ferra/Torr, and Kotal Kahn are all pretty interesting. And if they're anything to go by, then NRS definitely has more great new characters in store.

Too many descendants would seem gimmicky or even a little corny to me, I think having 3 maybe 4 descendant characters would be enough and have the rest of the new characters be original.

I think 4 is too much, only Cassie and one other would be enough for me, ok 3 the most. The rest should be original.

Honestly, the descendants feel very gimmicky, so I hope there's not too many, especially if the parents are in as well.

I'm sorry, but I hope Liu and Kitana don't have a kid. I'd rather have one of them back than a random kid. Same with Mileena and Baraka..that just seems..impossible and pure fan fiction made up because of this game. It holds no water, they just won't have a kid. I'm thinking more along the lines of, i've said it a lot, Nightwolf having a kid, or even Jax having one. Their lives have been a mystery. It makes sense to me for them to have a fighter representing them than the Liu/Kitana and Baraka/Mileena having descendants.

Nightwolf is dead and has no love interests.

Jax is dead and has no love interests.

Liu and Kitana are both dead, but have an on-screen relationship.

Baraka and Mileena are actually still alive, had a relationship in an MK2 ending, and some dev is on record saying that they WOULD have had that relationship in MK9 too but it ended up a deleted scene.
So how is them having kids "fan fiction" and Nightwolf or Jax kids wouldn't be?

Limitations on writing, I think, usually created by people who are jealous that they can't wright certain things (like romance) and so they create long winded theories / reasons, why nobody should write that.
Or they just closeminded / smallminded and couldn't wrap their minds around the fact that there are no limits in anything. They desperately cling to the rules they have created, because otherwise their precious vision of reality start falling apart.


I can agree with people who I dislike, without need to swallow my pride or stinging after effects. I am not petty like that. Though, I guess, some people base they judgement on their own character, which shows your true colors, hon'.
But afterall, even you can say something clever from time to time, when you're not absorbed by your LOL!Headcanon and Ego.
