The fatalities looked insane.

Everyone was sharp gameplay wise. Absolutely loved it. Leatherface was more generic but it worked.

The Pit.

Goro included in the pack is cool for people who didn't buy him but the Kold War and Brazilian costume pack too? And Kold War Scorpion? With all the extra stuff we mostly already have I wonder if it won't be just cheaper to buy the characters and Apocalypse pack separatedly.

The trailer is great, but I am a bit worried at the list of content. I get they are releasing previous DLC as pre-order bonuses, but why is only one new skin pack advertised? Surely they have made other skin packs. I really hope that's an oversight... :|

Triborg looks amazing and badass, will be one of my mains! Bo looks fun. Nice to see the pit too!

Like any sane person, I kept my opinions to myself until I saw gameplay (or that's how I remember it).

Will be buying, despite the guests, because gameplay. The reason we play games.

According to Kotaku, the apocalypse pack gives a new costume to D'Vorah, Takeda and Erron Black.

Looks like KenshiMaster was right, that's all the skin packs we're getting. That is honestly my big disappointment with the pack, but I'm still really hype for Bo and Cyber-Smoke. They both look super fucking good, and Cyrax and Sektor look great too!

Leatherface is pretty generic though, and he looks really similar gameplay wise to Jason tbh, but we'll see.

Is Bo really gonna be released last? That kinda sucks for those who are only wanting him. Why not release them as Mk, guest, mk, guest?

I have to say, the cyborg is basically getting 3 characters so that's great. Alien with Baraka's blades makes him better than without but still would've preffered by most favourite character of all time over him. Bo Rai Cho looks boring but I'm sure he's funny. Leatherface...is just lazy and basically Jason with a chainsaw. Just silly and inexcusable. Had Leatherface been Fujin, I would've been more excited about this. Still in general gameplay looks amazing, nobody can deny that. The pit looks okay, it was never a great arena anyway. Without the stage fatality it's actually a waste, more boring version of the Sub-Zero temple.

So now it's official.

Pros:
- Bo' Rai Cho looks great. Fart gags and puking remains but a lot of emphasis on mobility and the staff so I'm highly impressed.
- Triborg looks pretty decent. Straight up rip of all 3 cyborgs with some graphical / engine enhancements here and there. Got my stamp of approval.
- The Pit looks amazing with the new engine.
- The two guests look fun if you like guests....

Cons:
- .... but for me they can fuck right off. Leatherface looks like a straight rip of Jason but with weapons switched.
- Only one new costume pack with costumes for the newbies which means no new costumes for Kotal, Cassie, Kung Jin or Ferra/Torr.
- Nothing mentioned about more Klassic Fatalities or Klassic Costumes so I'm guessing that's not happening.
- The rest of the shit in the pack is stuff that's already been available for ages (and for a price as well) so then if you already bought some of it you may end up paying for it again if you're inclined to purchase the entire pack (or they make certain things KP exclusive). Don't like that.

Not bad. Bo looked good so did leatherface.

Ah, right. That was announced a while back.
It'd be nice if Erron got some slash/cut moves for his tarkatana.
Baraka did more than poke n stab with his arm blades.

Bo and Tri-Borg look fucking great. Can't wait to try them out.

The Pit looks beautiful and look in the back!! They added Blaze and a possibly newly modeled "Hornbuckle" from the looks of it, (it could be anyone though because it's hard to tell) like they should have in MK9. Awesome!

Can someone who is on Twitter try to confirm with Boon or Tyler L or someone else in the know about the skin pack situation?

If there really is only one new skin pack then:

2) my interested has immediately waned

All I can say is I hope the patches are good, and we get some new free skins with them.

Bo looks fun but not happy the toilet humor had to come back.

Triborg looks better than I thought he would.

NRS can fuck off with only giving 3 new characters costumes. All the new characters needed costumes not just 3.

No hard feelings, man. Besides, I can't hold anything against someone with such impeccable taste (looking at your Fujin avatar).

Same. They really dropped the ball on that. Shredder Sub and Deception Mileena really should've been in, they're iconic and fan fav's at this point. And they really should've given out some more Klassic Costumes. Tanya, Shinnok and even Tremor could've used some.

If anyone is still doubting NRS are sellouts then this KP should seal it. The extra content is just ridiculous and if you can only add one extra stage in a year then I don't know what to tell you. The game already had so little and The Pit is not that different from other existing arenas. Still cool for nostalgic reasons though..

To be honest, nothing could save this game for me. The variations system has it's perks, like in the case of Tri-Borg, in general it causes NRS to spread moves across which should be available. Staple moves is what makes MK great. The variations system is also why Fujin nor Baraka made it. They simply gave wind moves to others and are too lazy to come up with something better for Fujin and Baraka has always been one dimensional even though there's so much potential, but they treat him like shit so no surprises there.

Good luck for everyone who willingly gives their money to these people. It would be nice if NRS admitted they are not doing all they can to make this accessible for everyone ($120 if you buy the game + every pack...).

Yeah, I was hoping to main Fujin before the game came out. How wrong can you be?

If they are only making one new skin pack then it seems a really strange move. They've obviously put a lot of effort into these characters, even if I have very little interest in them personally. I do like that Smoke is coming back, but I can't say I am particularly won over by the concept of Tri-Borg. There's also the fact that I think 80% of people will be playing him in the near future, so it'll get old pretty fast. I do fucking love Smoke, though. Tempting...

I so hope they've made a mistake and for some reason only listed one skin pack out of the four/five they have planned. They cannot surely have just made three new skins and thought that re-releasing existing skin packs as part of KP2 is going to fly with people. That'd be seriously fucking cheap, even by WB standards. I cannot believe we're not going to get Shredder Sub-Zero or MK4 Shinnok... let alone the five other new characters missing new skins, or even a (pretty simple to make) UMK3-style skin for Tremor, to match the other ninjas.

If that really is the complete content of KP2 then I very much doubt I'll be getting any of this stuff. Not even a new skin for my fave new character, Kotal =/

The only other thing that makes me hold out hope (a small sliver of it) is one or two more characters and maybe they'll bundle a few costumes with them as well before everything is all said and done with MKX. Maybe then the other newbies will get something extra. But who knows at this point. Probably not.

The gameplay of them all looks great, which only makes me more disappointed about this pack, we could've gotten forgotten/unpopular MK characters revamped and make them popular/releveant again :-/
