Shinnok is in this game. He alone sold mkx to me. I do like some of the new comers in mkx. But him alone is what sold the game to me as a fan and customer. So if the story is based on him all the better for me.

Can't wait to hit story.

They story mode hype is dead? Well of course it is, because it fucking sucks and gags on balls. I have been telling everybody to stop telling me this game is going to be the best MK game. The gameplay is amazing, true. but the fucking story seems to have a fascination with balls, it's like the story just wants to touch them and lick them. And I'm not mad that Sektor di... Sektor diii.. :'(

I don't really care about story mode (surprise people to know I'm not that salty about Mileena and Barakas fate) but it barely affecting characters like Kung, Liu and Kitana who stay dead but get costumes to imply otherwise and are still in the roster while Baraka and Rain also play a part in story but get reduced to NPC cameos with new costumes BUT the other revenants and Sektor are copy pasted from 9...

I'm not reading the bulk of the thread because I'm avoiding actual spoilers but OP, are you seriously complaining about being unexcited now after you intentionally read/watched spoilers? That's beyond ridiculous.

The tears are delicious. the salt is a little bit too much for my diet however. But overall I only saw bits and pieces of the story leak. I know the ending and the deaths but still can't wait to see how things play out fully. I mean pretty much all my favorite characters are in the game. I have my Johnny, Scorpion, Goro, Shinnok and Kitana. And out of the newbies I obviously enjoy them all, mostly Takeda and D'vorah(recently). The only guys I wanted that are missing is Kai and Havik and I knew they wouldn't be in. But overall the gameplay is amazing. Who the hell lets a story mode in a fighting game stop there enjoyment? Like, really?

You know it might be emotions but I don't think I'm the only one. Everywhere I go I see people saying the story sucks and I 100% agree that this is probably the worst story yet. Compare it to MK9 and you'll see MK9 as a masterpiece.

Rain could have taken a spot, Baraka deserved one in this supposed "Brutal" game and dark tone they are going for. FUJIN, WHERE THE FUCK IS FUJIN? You fucking kidding me? Seriously? Were they like "Umm we should probably get back Liu Kang/Kitana and Kung Lao, get them old human forms even though they stay dead and please, PLEASE leave the character who deserves a spot the most out" Fuck whoever thought of this shit.

It's really stupid, those 3 spots could have went to someone better and Liu Kang/Kung Lao/Kitana could have been made fightable NPCs and later on came as an undead DLC pack.

I'm not unexcited because I saw spoilers, I'm unexcited because there are several things I don't like about story mode that I was made aware of because I watched spoilers. There's a difference.

Ummm... as a lifetime Scorpion fan I must ask are you just desperately trying to troll or are you legit retarded? Scorpion has the lamest fatalities in the game that we've seen and I'm still trying to find on the forum a summary of ANY part he plays in storymode if he does. So besides promo material and the mkx comic how did "ALL" of the development for this game go into Scorpion who will no doubt be mid to low tier again?

Story hype probably wouldn't have died if people didn't spoil it for themselves, idk I think actually playing it and experiencing it yourself might have made it less disappointing? Idk I haven't watched or read the whole thing and don't plan to until the 14th so im out...of this thread lol

At the end of the day, MKX is a fighting game and the gameplay is all that matters.

I remember the same level of butthurt with Mass Effect 3 when the ending leaked. And it was fucking awesome though. I will hold my judgement until i am done with storymode

It's almost a trend for MK fans to feel like the WHOLE roster should please them and only the character THEY are interested in should make it in the game.

Maybe it's just me, but I would buy the game even if I'd only have one character I'm interested in playing. No need to be greedy.
