I really just don't get why people are so butthurt. The fact that MK is still going is great and really they need a change. They made the last game to please all the fans who can't accept change, now it's time to the creators make something they want.

I personally think the new characters all look great and I am excited to see more new characters.

I will say, though, my one fear is that storyline-wise MK9 basically only left lacky characters alive. So if those are the only old fighters we'll be getting I'll be slightly disappointed. But, that could finally give them the chance to have a real story, so it could be a good thing.

Basically, even if Sub-Zero and Scorpion are the only returning characters, I will buy the game and enjoy it for what it is.

I own every Mortal Kombat game and my favorite character is Sektor , if I only bought the games that Sektor was in, I'd only own 5 games...

I understand those who are turned away at the initial concept. I love MK and it remains one of my favorite franchises in the PS2 era just because I loved DA and Dec's stories. (Plus Shaolin Monks rocked).

However, the moment I saw the title for MK8 I was gone. There was no way in hell I was going to buy MKvsDC. I laughed at it and was a little pissed we didn't get the follow up to Armageddon we were promised. I was especially was upset that vsDC was the follow up to the biggest let down of the series. I ended up not coming back until MK9's announcement.

I do get being turned away by the new character's. Having the more casual fans first glimps be of 66% of the roster is new comers, they'll expect a SF3 scenario and get frustrated. These people are not going to look at every trailer, interview, or character announcement.

Showing 1 more MK Vet I think would've been better personally.

I will avoid MKX if it turns into MK vs Newbies and the game only has 24 character slots. I simply have better things to spend money on next year. But I don't expect it to come to that as they've said many Vets will be returning.

The roster isn't finalized, they've said there will be at least as many characters as there were in MK9, plus dlc. I bet there's going to be about 10 new characters, and about 20 returning characters. That's very reasonable to me.

That's what I'm expecting and have no problem with it. My point is more that, NRS may have given the wrong message by showing 2/3 of the E3 roster as new people. WE know that isn't going to happen, but we're the MK fanboys who pay attention to every nugget of info.

I just hope they do a good job of unveiling the roster. Injustice was good but MK9 was a disaster.

I personally just think it's fun to hear other people's opinions who are excited. My opinion is my own, but if someone can point out something I hadn't thought of or has a perspective on something I don't, it's beneficial to hear that. It doesn't necessarily have to be opinion assimilation.
