Yeah i dont think its needed but Ed sure likes to make sure they have a token african character. Just making Jade or Cyrax dark skinned dont cut it lol and Darrius i dont think could fill Jaxs shoes lol. So yeah ive been expecting Jax to return, and yes mainly just so they have a black guy. Its not official yet though....

If he returns or not dont matter to me... Kano looks so bad ass that im honestly fine with whoever else makes it in. Sure i got some favs i want to return, but yeah Kano really looks that badass to me....

They've already confirmed that old favorites would be back and at E3 they said that long time fans will be very happy with the returning roster. People like Jax so who knows.

One can only hope. Jax is one of the very few who have continuously failed to impress me. If I had to pick, I think MK3 Jax is my favorite. Loved them purple pants.

The funny part is, to the people who did caught onto that note. They're assuming he's referring to the people who are alive. So think real hard on this one. I haven't crunch down the numbers, but if I recall correctly, and based on how the roster is laid out now, there's no room for all the characters that's alive. So, what the fuck does that say for the dead characters when even the alive characters don't have a chance?

The earthrealm storyline is the best part of MK, so i'm glad we have Kano back, with Johnny, Sonya, and Liu possibly in as well.

But I AM taking your words with a grain of salt. And nowhere is there an official statement which says "Jax won't be in MKX". So that's hardly any proof.

I'm not saying he is. I am not saying any character is in. At the same time, I am not saying any character aren't. Not until there is official confirmation about it.

Jax was always a fave of mine and I would welcome him back. We need the back-breaker!

Because we, the viewers, didn't see where his soul went to, the creators can do whatever they want with Liu Kang in this game. They can bullshit us with a "Oh, he was passed out" story if they wanted. Kind of like the situation with Noob Saibot and the soulnado. Their situation is up in the air.

I'd die a little inside if he returned.

Yeah, the way I see it, there's HUGE racial diversity in Mortal Kombat. Asian humans, Caucasian humans, Black humans - and that's just humans! Then there's Caucasian Edenians, Black Edenians, Outworldians, Shokan, Saurian, Tarkata, Demons, Oni, Undeads... And with D'Vorah we also have an insectoid!

I marginally prefer Jax to be put on hold until MK11.

If Jax was to be in the game i would want him more in the from of a Cameo/mentor to Cassie. Kano managed to kill both Sonya and Johnny and he looks after Cassie and eventually begrudgingly trains her to get her revenge on Kano.

Good theory, but, no one would want to see a rivalry between Cassie and Kano.

Jax is a tried, tested and true member of the Earthrealm heroes, I don't believe for a second he's maintained his status in these games just for the sake of racial diversity. He's got a fanbase.

If he's got a problem, it's that he could use a more varied redesign. Old Man Jax could be kickass. I'd love to see it.

After seeing what Kano can do, I feel some characters are definitely out of MKX and Jax is one of them. Kano is the badass grappling guy now, and he took some of Cyrax's bomb attacks as well.

I think they will keep their characters really diverse. Jax and Kano were in some things similar. Both powercharacters, both with grappling skills. That's one reason I think Jax is out of this one.

We already have many Jax-type of karakters : Sonya, Stryker and now Kassie.
We also have many Scorpion-ish karakters : Sub-Zero, Smoke, Rain, Reptile, Noob, Ermac, etc etc.

At this point, I want someone to konfirm TANYA!!!!!!!!
And maybe other Tanya kind of karakters like KITANA, JADE, SINDEL and MILEENA.

TANYA needs to be in MKX. It's a perfect opportunity for TANYA.
MKX is supposed to bring back a few MK4 karakters.

I can also imagine OLDER SONYA BLADE with big scars and injuries and maybe some metallic arms or legs?? You never know.

His soul doesn't have to go anywhere. Do our souls go to heaven or hell? I don't think so as their is neither in reality.
Also, it does not take them 4 years to figure out what they will do with Liu and Noob for that matter.

I realize that this could just be semantics, but in the aforementioned Twitter post, the word MKX isn't used. The question is stated as such; "Is there gonna be a character like Jax?". Boon than replies, "Does Jax count?" Now, if I was in Boons shoes and wanted to be a dick, I would answer the question the way he did, because the kid didn't mention MKX, and a character like Jax IS Jax. Follow me?

The bombs Kano uses are Grenades, something Stryker uses, not Cyrax, he uses bombs.

Both Kotal and Torr grapple as well. In a cast of over 20 you can have quite a few grapplers before it gets repetitive.
