I wouldn't mind if he was in MKX but I wouldn't be mad if he didn't return either.

Flame me if you must... but Johnny, Sonya, Kano, Jax, and now Cassie.... This group is one of the least interesting to me... I'd much rather (in a game with very few returning characters compared to other games) have the focus be on more interesting characters... I'm not saying Jax should be gone forever.. but I would prefer some one in this group of characters would atleast sit this game out...

As I predicted he'll be back for racial diversity.

Don't listen to Boon on twitter, he also said MK9 wouldn't have on disc, paid DLC and it did.

That said, i'm expecting Jax to return if the dead characters from MK9 are revived.

I know he doesn't get a lot of love from hipster fans who hate on some of the most repeated old school characters like him and Sonya but personally he is one of my favorites. I would fucking LOVE to see an updated, older version of Jax.

He is one of the most recognizable MK charactres to the casual crowd, that's why he keeps coming back. The die-hard MK fans who are bored of him are gonna need to ignore him, or deal.

But I'd love to see old man Jax, and him becoming more cybernetic at the expensive of his humanity has been teased before and I think it would be cool to see that actually played out.

I liked his personality in MK9 and I'm glad they moved away form the "Awwwwww yeaaaaaaaaa" personality from the 3D era.

Why do people ALWAYS dismiss characters of color in these kinds of things as somehow being affirmative action? Even someone like Jax who is one of the classic MK characters...whatever.

Jade is dark and happens to be one of my top 5 heroes in MK9.

Kai is black, just like Jax, but I'd pick Kai over Jax any time.

Oh, and black-human Cyrax was one of my favorite alternate costumes in MKDA.

So... it's only Jax that has to prove himself, at least for me. He was in my Bottom 5 in MK9. But so was Kano... And out of all returning faces in MKX, up to now, Kano looks the most interesting.

No, NRS only said their wouldn't be DLC characters already on disc. And to some extent, this was true. Skarlet was on disc but it was just the character model, none of her moves where present, so that was acceptable. NRS was heavily aware how Capcom's DLC practice pissed off a lot of consumers at the time.

As much as i'd like it, I don't think Jax is gonna make the roster...Even Kano's new design; shirtless with military pants/boots is is very Jax-like.

No, he definitely said "No on disc DLC" and you can quote me on that. So he seemed a bit hypocr!te when Scorpion/Sub-Zero/Reptile/Jade/Kitana MK3 costumes were released as paid DLC.

Please Jax, stay dead for just a couple of games.

Unlikely. Jax is dead. Kano's new gameplay and design kind of has similarities with Jax's appearance in MK9, so overall his inclusion in the MKX is unlikely.
