The hype is dead for me. I don't care one bit about the returning characters announced so far, and some of them have been flat out disappointing. So the hype is indeed dead for me.

As soon a character I like is announced, the hype will come back, that I'm sure. Because the game looks awesome, the gameplay, graphics and all is really interesting - I just need to see a character I like be in the game.

NRS is REALLY taking their time releasing content, and yeah it totally killed the hype for me. It looks like a great game and I'm really excited for it, but NRS is doing a terrible job this time around.

The 4 returning chars so far I don't care about, especially Raiden.

People felt the same back when MK9 was announced.

Scorpion is in, Sub-Zero is in, Raiden is in, and Kotal Kahn looks awesome to me plus there are plenty of unannounced characters left so im still pumped.

It's typical that the hype dies down with little info. I'm crazy hyped for the game, it looks fun to play and I just can't wait to get my hands on it. Plus I still have that boot tweet to chew on in the meantime until new info is revealed.

I'm still hyped. I love everything announced so far. Even Kano, who never has been one of my favorite characters, yet I can't wait to try him out and go against him in the game.

Yeah its bs how slow they r revealing stuff. In Mk9 we got 8 at E3,2 at Gamescom n 2 at PAX

My hype has yet to die for this game. Regardless of how "breaking" the news is, any news is good news.

Everything so far is okay for me. But I'm not hyped.

I love the MK series and I'll buy MKX, but in order to be hyped, I need to know some of my favorite characters are in it: Kitana, Kung Lao, Bo Rai Cho and/or Havik, Ashrah or Li Mei.

That must be exhausting for your arms in the long run...

The problem is that we're still in that sluggish, repetitious information area, seeing as how the devs can barely elucidate on certain basic matters yet (i.e. release date, total cast #, game modes, etc.) Once they've been given the green light via WB to start churning out more substantial information (all the while doing character reveals) I'd expect the hype to return.

With that, I'm getting antsy, but I'm still excited.

I'm still on the lookout for updates, but yeah, my hype is pretty much dead for the time being.

They're percolating info out slowly (which is kind of odd considering they've said they're ahead of schedule with this game), and none of it excites me.

We barely know anything about the story, and the characters that have been revealed so far don't appeal to me, so there's nothing for me to be really hyped about so far.

XD I'm kinda starting to believe JadedReign and Jaded-Raven are the same dude.

It's not that we aren't hyped it is because we are getting bored of Ed Boons Tricks and jokes about everything. He teases us with characters feet of all sorts lol. Man I like him and all but this crap is boring that he is doing to us. I like something new even if it is a classic character or a new character. Just the joking has to end somewhere.

Haha, we do seem to agree on alot of things... except I hate Fang from FF13. XD

There's just nothing of substance going on right now. Give it a few months.

The returning character announcements have been dull and the rumors of the next few sound just as dull.

I'm not a story fan any more so that shit doesn't hold my interest.

I'll probably get hyped again IF they start announcing some interesting characters, especially ones we haven't seen in a while.

I was wondering when this would come up, lol. But nah.

So most of you aren't hyped? Then why did everyone of you looking every day at least once in this Forum to check out if there are some new stuff about MKX? ;)

To find something to get hype about, of course.

Naw, I'm still HELLA excited, but I can't keep looking back here over and over again to see more speculation and rumors, I gots other stuff to do Plus its release is in 2015, that's a LONG way from now. Its been two months or so since the gameplay trailer was revealed, if the same people still maintain the same hype...then, that would be sort of scary....i think its natural for it to die down as time goes on..

Maybe we are just getting tired of essentially the same game every time. The engine looks the same as it did in MKvsDC and 9. Never played the DC game but it looks like exactly the same engine.

We need that epic Armageddon feel again where the whole world is waiting to see what the developers will come up with and how they can manage a massive roster. Without all the glitches, that is.

2D was cool in 9, but give us a tweak.

It's just the same stuff regurgitated into a new skin.

And may I point out that all of us that have been around have aged quite a bit. Perhaps it's just no longer that cool anymore.

Let's face it - this series has been mismanaged in the past and I think that hype is gone. This is going to be a tough sell.
