I would love to see reiko holding a machete,scorpion holding a katana or Kai holding a num-chuk (soul calibur)

I thought of a good weapon for Scorpion.
It's called a Daisho. Daisho is Japanese for "Big and Small".
The Daisho is a normal katana and a short katana used together in both long and short range combat.

I am thinking of Kunai(Soul Calliburr)
It would look so cool on Rain

I think the Kamas would be good for smoke.
Noob can have his crappy scythe.
Havik's mace was a good weapon for him.
Mileena will always have her sais.
Reptile needs a different weapon. A pimped out broadsword just doesn't fit a brutal character like him.
Raiden will either keep the staff or go to his old-school war hammer.

Let's think of some more...

New weapons?

How about:

1) A whip
2) A Schimitar
3) A three part staff
4) A ball and chain (think Kill Bill Vol 1)
5) A pair of martial arts style hammers
6) A spear

Those are just a few examples. To me though, I'd be much happier if in MK8 they drastically reduced the number of swords. There are still too many in my opinion.

Maybe thay could take the club off of Drahmin's arm. Weapons connected to you only work when they're concieled inside you, like Baraka's arm blades.
You're right about too many swords. I like the pole weapons, like Bo Rai Cho's Jojutso, Jade's bojutso, Sindel's Kwan Do, Hotaru's Naginata, and Raiden's staff. Maybe more blunts like clubs, maces, and hammers.

Okay make way, these are the weapons I want to see and weapons I don't want to see:

NEW=
1. a whip
2. expanded num chuks
3. ball and chain morning star
4. a huge wooden club
5. a ninja sling shot
6. a vibro blade (replacing the pulse blade)

GET RID OF=
1. the pulse blade
2. Jax's gun
3. Any guns for that matter (Strykers,etc)

The biggest problem when it comes to weapons is diversity. Too many generic attacks and stances. The MK team is more creative than that!

How about a double-bladed ninja sword! That would be so awesome! Have Noob Saibot wield it . . . that would be an awesome weapon in MK.

A double sided sword doesn't sound all that bad. I think they should give Scorpion the spear he has in the movies, the snake looking things :D. They should give some1 the nunchuk with 3 sticks, like in Devil May Cry 3 or a Sword/Whip thing from Soul Calibur.

I know, it would be the best for Noob Saibot . . . he can have his scythe and his double-bladed ninja sword. I should submit that idea to the MK team.

An Assault bow and arrow, universal though, not exactly tied to Nightwolf. You know, I want one too, spiritual ragafragin bow and arrow, #$%beepin ^&* beep, beep, beep!!!

They best weapon they could make next would be a double-bladed ninja sword, or a vibro blade to compete with the pulse blade.

Maybe a mini one that one of the ninja's could use, but otherwise the Fire god and Blaze use the power of fire as well as Liu Kang, so the MK team might ignore that idea for the fact of characters having the power of fire.

So far...

Ermac-The axe was a perfect fit.
Sub-Zero- The Kori Blade is working just fine.
Baraka-Well... he's stuck with the blades.
Drahmin- Take the club off his arm and it'll work.
Bo Rai Cho - The jojutsu suits him well. It works because it is dicieving like his Drunken Fist. A short, inocent-looking staff that is deadly.
Quan Chi-Quan Chi should use the mace. Old school.
Mileena-Old school sais.
Kitana-Old scool iron fans.
Noob-Noob can keep his crappy scythe. I don't see any other Reeper rip-offs.
Kenshi- No complaints about the katana.

Okay I will give you some credit, but then again, ah . . . um, I dont think it will fit MK's persona well. Raiden or Bo Rai Cho could defeat an opponent with a chainsaw, and they have staffs. The reason for this is because, who knows if Raidens staff is blessed with god power, so he could use his lightening quick speed to dodge a chainsaw attack. And if his staff was blessed with god power, the chainsaw would actually not be able to cut through a god staff, because god power is everlasting. Same for Bo Rai Cho, he is smart, so he would know what to do when someone attacked him with a chainsaw. His staff might not be able to work like Raiden's, but I am sure with the martial arts experience he has, he could out fight someone with a chainsaw. An opponent with a chainsaw would not fight with smarts, guaranteed. They would be wild, and not thinking about what they are doing. So an original weapon in MK could probably defeat a person with a chainsaw, because each character has their own personal weapon for one reason: because they are the best with that weapon and have mastered it well.

a helicopter sword......it will have the grip stick for the user to hold and on the top of the sword are two blades that are opposite to each other
