Well everybody has their opinions, just saying since the other 2 are basically dead it wouldn't hurt unless all of a sudden in this timeline Frost was a man & she became Sub-Zero. I think were just gonna have to wait til Ed speaks on this to take this further but as of right now I still think the Hydro story would be interesting.

Well until Ed elaborates on how Sub is alive & back to being human the other 2 brothers are dead so this would have to be someone new in order to make sense with the story unless one of the 2 brothers are brought back, Just saying it's an idea that wouldn't hurt. I just wish Sub wasn't brought back at all so they can give Frost sometime to shine because if she is in this game I'm afraid she'll have her spotlight taken from SZ & just be looked at as the 2nd tier freeze ninja character which I don't think is a good way to bring her back into the fold.

There's changing a character's story up and then there's changing a character's entire character. You can't just change a character's gender, especially when they've been around long enough for people to notice.
And I'm not saying that just because I'm a fan of Frost.

That was just a joke response to people who kept saying "No Hydro we have Frost" when clearly there is a male Ice ninja in the vid. I would hope Frost stay a female.

Not sure if this was said here, but you can see his scar so it is the younger subzero in the trailer. You guys can sometimes look way too deep into things.

This is how it should ALWAYS be
Sub-Zero "Human,Kuai Liang"
Noob Saibot "Shadow Wraith, BiHan"
Hydro "Cyborg" Actually like Cyber Hydro from season 1 of Mortal Kombat Legacy

Well this is a different timeline so just cause he has the scar doesn't me it is the younger brother, Look at the Cyber Sub-Zero situation as an example.

So we get a new Sub-Zero and forget about the other two? I don't like that. Why not make another cyborg, I'd prefer female.

Whis this even a thing? Sub will NOT be replaced by Hydro. Hydro has like a 2% chance of ever existing in a MK game, forget about him replacing a mascot.
Dont be simple.

Maybe he could be what Windows 8.1 is to Windows 8 so Hydro is a cyborg but a newer version from Sektor and Cyrax. Sub-Zero's boots are too big for someone like Hydro to fill them. I don't even think Frost can take Sub-Zero's spotlight, and I really like Frost.
With the presence of Rain we have literally no need for a Hydro character, especially with how MK9 portayed him.
Honestly, with how much time has passed since the Malibu days I'm susprised people still remember this guy.

"Hydro was a close friend of Sub-Zero and a fellow Lin Kuei. He journeyed with Sub-Zero to combat the forces of Outworld. Hydro has the ability to control water and even blasted strong waves of water that were so freezing cold that they could actually freeze the opponent upon contact."
"After Scorpion and Hydro fought in Outworld, Hydro was killed, as part of the undead wraith's promise of killing all of Sub-Zero's friends and family before killing Sub-Zero himself."
Taken from MK wikia. It fits the trailer pretty good.

Possible, but highly unlikely. Hydro is a character that has only appeared in the comics and as a cyborg in MK Legacy. He has no real place in the story and is no where near important enough to replace Kuai-Liang. Ed Boon responded to a question on Twitter as to whether or not MKX's story will be a sequel to MK 2011 or a whole new story altogether.
He responded by saying "both" and that it was "hard to explain". It could be another alternate timeline, it could be timelines of the MK universe crossing over with each other, or some other plot element altogether. With that said, there's a reason Sub-Zero/Kuai-Liang is alive again (maybe it's even Bi-Han) but we won't know until we get more info about the story and I'm willing to bet that Hydro has nothing to do with it in any way.

Well if what Ed says is true we heard Shao Kahn's voice say "FIGHT" in the trailer, I just hope this doesn't mean that the Shao Kahn from the original timeline that killed Raiden becomes the boss of this game SMH that would be a waste of hype for Shinnok.
An idea of what Sub-Zero(Hydro) could play as if they differentiate his moves a bit - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBj5ufoQvfU

Cyber-Frost? They didn't do much with her in the past so, why not? A female cyborg would be cool since MK never had one.
NRS can make her cool looking. Maybe human head with a cyborg body... What do you think?

I've thrown this idea around but I'd rather see a futuristic Frost than a female cyborg.
