I posted this on another thread But I want to see on a bigger scope what most of the MK Kommunity would think about this

I'm prbably gonna get bashed for this but ahh oh well but . . . . what if this new Sub-Zero was not Bi Han or Kuai but . . . . . .Hydro?

What if the story was that since Kuai died & Bi suspectedly(Not a word I know) die Raiden was in need of more warriors to defend against Shinnoks coming army? So what does he do? Goes to the Elder Gods & ask that Hydro be brought back to life to help in the upcoming war? (If you guys do not know Hydro was killed by Scorpion before the events of the first MK). The elder gods agree but on the condition that since Hydro is to be brought back Raiden must submit his god hood & become a mortal like everyone else, With the need of more warriors despite the trade off being very pricey he does so anyway to give earthrealm a better chance at surviving. So when Hydro is brought back Raiden fills him in on the events of what happen to his good friend (Bi Han) & his brother (Kuai) & also about the cyber initiative. Coming to a final decision Hydro decideds to fight for the forces of light & decided to take the mantel of his friend & become the new "SUB-ZERO". This way it follows the story, brings back Sub-Zero & also at the same time introduces a new character.

Hydro as Sub-Zero would also want to avenge not only his death but the death of Bi Han & Kuai so instead he will hunt down Scorpion & try to take him on since no doubt Quan Chi will still make Scorpion serve him while on Shinnok's side so then it will be a switch a roo with instead of Scorpion hunting Sub-Zero it would be Sub-Zero (Hydro) hunting Scorpion. Also Hydro would not like the Cyber Initiative & will probably fight them as well & since Raiden will become mortal he may die in this game sacrificing him self for something which would be perfect as he passed the torch as the guardian of earth realm on to Fujin just before his death.

Also since people are saying Sub-Zero's eyes are white like a reanimated human that could be a part of the Hyrdo thing as well with him being brought back.

So what do you guys say?

Hydro makes water. Where would the cold air part of Sub's powers come from?

This doesn't even make sense. Don't post stupid things.

Hydro is such an iconic rumor character. I think he could very well replace Cyber Sub as the Blue Cyborg

No. Just no.

Hydro does not need to be a new Sub-Zero.

We have Frost for that role.

Straight from the MK Wiki: Hydro has the ability to control water and even blasted strong waves of water that were so freezing cold that they could actually freeze the opponent upon contact.

So there you go, Basically he can freeze just like Bi Han & Kuai can but instead of ice properties like Ice ball or something he can have something like Ice Stream or Ice Pool where he freeze the ground with a pool of water & when the point hop onto the pool he sinks into the floor only to be geysered out in frozen solid ice or something. Freeze with a water element to them instead of just ice, He can have the ice ball to I guess tho.

Obviously Hydro would have a completely different moveset than Frost/Sub-Zero...

Yeah, but is it "sub zero" freeze, or just the "oh shit, I didn't turn on the hot water in the shower before I jumped in" freeze.

But we see Sub-Zero in the announcement Trailer which if they do put her in means 2 ice users? At which point that role is kinda filled but I would definitely want her as well, She could be the survivor of the Cyber Initiative as one of the beginner "newbies" of the Lin Kuei & possibly look for Sub-Zero as guidance on the whole thing & he takes her under his tutelage.

I agree. I came up with a concept a while back that has hydro basically be a malfunctioning cyborg. The water doesn't cooperate well with his mechanics thus making him have moves that use both water and electricity/explosives.

I would think it means freeze as in solid ice besides this is a new timeline where perhapse he could just about as well do the "Sub-Zero" Freeze

Well this "Sub-Zero fill-in" guy you call Hydro immediately gets killed by Scorpion in the trailer so how does that work? JK I'm not bashing you, I know its just a trailer, I just couldn't resisttongue

Well the guy in the trailer does Sub's MK9 moves. Slide, ice blast, make a blue sword, freeze a guy by grabbing him...

But in the trailer we see it's a human Sub-Zero which would mean he'd be human if anything right?

I mean its whatever, what I'm more concerned about how Cyber-Zero is no longer a Cyborg. In both timelines, Bi Han turns into Noob. Kuai Liang is turned into Cyber-Sub-Zero, so..... Someone...please explain..

Trust me I wanted all the MK chars who died in MK9 to stay dead meaning no SZ & I though they would follow that but I knew it would be to good to be truw to leave SZ out of a fighting game, So now that he's in & both Bi & Kuai are out of action someone has to take up the mantel to make it make sense for his appearance in this game so I though why not Hydro. Like I said I would have preferred Sub to stay dead & let Frost take his place but as you can see it did not happen so yeah . . . . we could have Frost too tho

But Hydro already happened! Everyone knows about the Hydro rumor, it's not like the lady in purple or those non-factor rumor characters!

Well so far that hasn't been explained but if you read my first post at the top I explained how Hydro could come back to life from the dead making him take up the mantel thus a human sub-zero is upon us again. Read first post for more info.

So then there would be three different Sub-Zero's. No, I'm down for having two brothers take the name, not some random comic/Legacy character suddenly taking the name.

Please no. We don't need another Sub-Zero! We have two already, plus Frost! There is absolutely no need for Hydro.
