boo... I want something new, IF they have to bring back an old ality id rather see friendships but with the darker tone of this game it might not fit, so I go back to my original choice, a new finisher

I always liked Hara-Kiris. Im glad they could be coming back. I trust that NRS will update the concept and make it something fresh as well. No reason why it has to work exactly like it did in DA and Deception.

Also, Ed said that they had more than 30 characters. Im sure a lot of people will be glad to hear that, tho I liked the idea of just 24. Looks like MKX will have a hefty number or DLC characters.

Hopefully they are returning, better than friendships.

We'll have to appreciate what we get though.

Glad to see it's pretty much confirmed to be returning (the only other option is Kreate-A-Fatality, and THEY BETTER NOT).

Here's hoping they're pretty....involved, shall we say. Simple suicides seem appropriate for Earthrealm characters, but I expect more creative ways to off oneself from the inhabitants of the other realms.

Though Friendships might be hard to fit on ths dark atmosphere, but who knows. I think with some creativity they could be really funny.

Hara-Kiris I expect some creativity thrown there too, in Deception there were many that were a bit meh... (Scorpion really coudn't think about anything more brutal than just slapping his neck?). Hopefully we get each character using the full extent of their abilities for this and with the cinematic take they're using we could see some dramatism.

I would be fine with Hara Kiri's coming back. They can be done in an extremely dark fashion for MKX. It would definitely fit.

I don't mind them coming back, but it annoyed me when the AI would do it against me, and it was every 3rd or 4th enemy you defeated that would perform it. Hopefully it's less scripted this time around.

You just stated why Hara-Kiris were so stupid. Why in the hell would you kill yourself in the most brutal manner? You might as well have a fatality performed on you. Scorpion's imo was logical. It was fast, painless, and truly robbed the second player of a fatality.

At any rate, the input for a Harakiri needs be twice as long as a regular fatality or something, to make it more of a challenge for the loser to get to say "fuck you".

It's the best thing a salty player could do while still being a salty bitch so it's not like they gain something out of it beyond being petty.

It should come with a price though like the winning player can finish the last round with no blocking and fatality the loser regardless if they input the Hara-Kiri. Then you have truly earned your fatality.

If it HAD to be present for some awful reason, It should only be after like a Mercy or something where the winner has nearly a full life bar, to pay back the victor's arrogance.
