Can you come up with some arguements to back up that statement? Because Kenshi was as much a DLC in MK9 as Rain was, so the chances for him to be in seems pretty slim.

Granted yes, he's one of the more popular post MK3 characters but still, with all this 'new' content/characters coming, I'm really questioning him being a kombatant. I mean, Rain, I understand even with his following because of the 'joke status' but hell, Kano made the list and he was one of the characters I was honestly least expecting even with him surviving MK9.

Just because IGN chose to edit in a clip of an animality doesn't mean animalities are gonna be in. Unless I'm missing something, IGN edited that clip in on their own. NRS had nothing to do with it, so I don't see them as "pretty much confirmed". I'd rather see friendships, even though they're technically not "-alities"... same difference. If it's just babalities again someone is gonna have to pay.

Still, everything else in here is interesting. SO glad to hear there's no MK Vs. projects. Glad to see Ed Boon trying so hard to not say Johnny and Sonya are gonna (at least) make an appearance.

Noticed he also said something about cousins. I figure he's just using an example, but could it be that Sub-Zero is actually the cousin of Bi-Han and Kuai-Liang? Hope not. Still hoping for Kuai Liang.

Sorry to Rain fans that his DLC chance are low. I personally don't care, but I do have a friend who plays with Rain, so I feel kinda bad. Hey, maybe his DLC chances are low because they decided to put him in the main roster! Ha, unwishful thinking.

No one said Animalities were "pretty much confirmed". In the top post I wrote it "suggests" that it could be Animalities. And that's not wrong.

Personally, I've always thought Animalities were pretty lame and nonsensical. Never thought they were awesome or funny. Same with Babalities... I seriously do hope they just mean Friendship or even Brutalities.

A character turning into some random animal just for the hell of it is never something I'd like, no matter how cool it would look like.

If a character had the ability to do so, like perhaps Nightwolf turning into a wolf or Liu Kang turning into a dragon, then sure... but giving ALL the characters that ability, even if it is non-canon and just for the lulz... No, just no...

The fact he mentions Raiden, Kano, and Sub-Zero will be there in sort of their older forms means that Sub-Zero is indeed one of the brothers, at least at one point in the game he will be.

What I'm psyched about is the possibilities for these damn descendants. Since MOST of the story is taking place 25 years in the future, we can just assume that the heroes were probably resurrected at some point. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean they will be playable. That just means that a possible Kitana/Liu love child is possible (god let it be a girl I needs my fans and they wouldn't look right on a guy).lol. A cousin of reptile. An offspring of Baraka/Mileena.

The possibilities are endless.

I will say that this reignited a little hope in me though. I couldn't tell enough about the story to be comfortable. The fact that I know it's now MOSTLY 25 years in the future let's me breathe easier.

Yeah not all the characters really have an animal motif to go off of. It really only worked with Liu Kang with him being the chosen one and all.

Turning into giant wasps or chimps or something? Nah. Could you imagine D'vorah turning into anything other than some giant bug when she is already filled with bugs?

Plus a new -ality wouldn't be an Animality, that'd be returning. Maybe they've thought of something completely new.

Raiden will have to do for my main in this game. Still I am quite disappointed by this news but I know Rain skin mods will be released sooner or later from the community.

Despite never using mods before I am will attempt to install mods for Rain when they become available in the future.

Hm... i'm not a huge fan of Rain but i can comprehend if the Rain fans are disappointed now. Well... i'm realistic. I know most of my favorites doesn't make the cut like Ermac, Baraka, Sektor and Reptile.

But all the ones who passed out for MKX come back in MK11 with better grafic and gameplay :D This is my consolation :)

Damn, really bummed to hear that about Rain. Hope he makes the main roster I guess. It'll be really annoying tho if the entire Cage family makes the playable cut and Rain doesn't. I'll take the corrupt, demi god general from another realm over an MK family sitcom any day.

And the more I hear about the story it sounds like its gonna go in a completely new direction and straight up not include the Shinnok stuff or at most briefly pass over that during the opening cinematic. No deadly alliance or Onaga build up either.

Don't know how some people want characters who are not important to the story that will be told in the game as playable characters.............

It's simple if the characters are not important to the story, they will be out, and come back in the next game(mk11).

Also I don't think Boon ruled out Rain, he was talking about DLC in MKX at the time and said that Rain was already DLC in MK9 so that he'd be unlikely. As in unlikely to be DLC again, he could possibly be main game. I don't really care either way but it's possible.

It's also interesting that he said we'll see cousins. Wonder who it is.

The reinstallment of an "ality"...

That's what I'm most curious about. I don't want it to be Friendship. These are from an obscure time which in my opinion don't work anymore. MK tries to be more serious and they're doing a good job so far. Let the friendships stay in the past.

Same goes for Animality. I liked them, but it doesn't make sense for all characters to transform into an animal just for the sake of it. To me, the best returning "ality" will be the Brutality. And like the Babality in MK9, make them all different.
