So I figured that since there's pretty much a thread for every character shown in the new Story Trailer, there might as well be one for Erron Black.

Now, the thread title is a bit of a joke. I already LOVE this character, but he is anything but confirmed playable in MKX. However, I'd like to discuss the likelihood of his playability compared to the other teased characters such as Johnny, Sonya, Shinnok, and Rain. Not all of these characters will be playable, so which one's are going to be sitting out?

Again, I love Erron Black. It's so awesome to see a fucking ninja John Marston walking up to MK characters, guns pointed. I dig his look, his demeanor, and his weapons. He really feels like the Boba Fett of MK. I really hope this guy is going places.

So yeah, what do you dudes think?

There's another screenshot of him where Cassie, Jacquie, and someone else from the team are being surrounded by Reptile, Ermac (I think), Erron Black, and soldiers.

He's just casually walking up to them with a revolver, wild-wild west style.

Look at that fucking sexy beast. Such a badass. I think he's the 5'th playable, Shinnok being a Sub-Boss or Main Boss thus unplayable (or a relative secret unlockable akin to Quan Chi after story mode).

If he's not on the main roster, I'm betting he'll be DLC similar to Skarlet before all is said and done with.

He's an Earthrealmer alright. I wonder why he left the comforts of Earth and joined Kotal in a realm infatuated with civil war? Money? Status? Does he just enjoy dressing like a cowboy and shooting people?

So far we have 7 NEW characters completely confirmed right? Cassie, Jaqcui, Kung Jin, Takeda, Kotal, D'vorah, and Ferra/Torr. That's 4 on Cassies team and 3 on Kotals. Makes sense to even it out with him eventually confirmed as the final brand new playable character.

I think he's been shown in a different costume than this one in the comics



but idk it might just be the artist's shitty drawing but it does look different.

Honestly i'm pretty sure he's all but confirmed.

He's walking side-by-side with Ermac leading an army. And when Kotal's group approaches Cassie's, he's right there along with Reptile and the others. It's damn hard to believe he wouldn't be in.

Yeah that artist was pretty not good. The boots he's wearing in-game right now aren't in the Boot Pic, but it could be an alt. I'm glad to see that he's not a comic-exclusive character though. It's a step in the right direction! haha

If he's confirmed along with the other 3 new ones, I really hope there will be 2 more new ones who have no knowledge of. Would be a bit disappointing if we knew all new ones before the game is released. Come on NRS, surprise us!

Erron Black can't be DLC. The Kombat Pass clearly says Iconic Guest Characters and CLASSIC MK Kombatants.

So if he's not on the main roster or unlockable through story mode, his best chances are DLC AFTER what's included in the Kombat Pass. And that's an unknown at this point.

He is very likely one of the 5 characters Boon talk about. The others being obviously Mileena,Jacqui,Kung Jin and Takeda. Which mean the other characters we saw in the trailer are cameos(at least for now).

I hope we finally get an updated select screen next stream and see who the 5 are. Hopefully that'll come about in 2 weeks.
