No, it should definitely be Tremor. The character already exists in the MKU, and has a large fan base. This is like asking for a mystic Indian in mkX that is NOT NightWolf. Give him a Ninja primary costume with a non-ninja alt. Golem-form as a special in 1 of his variations. He could also have a special that turns ur opponent into stone

Well, if the character is Tremor by name only, but casts away all the rest, then yeah, I could accept that.

I would like a golem since Ermac is based on a mummy.

You forget that every earth character should have Regeneration.

Anyway, I'd love tremor the black dragon guard (non ninja) or a new character named Antaeus, after the greek earth giant.

I want earth-powers in mortal kombat over all else, the things you can do with that!

Make Shujinko his own character and give him the earth powers. No one better than him.

Awesome. I honestly think Tremor is a shoe-in for MKX. Rock bending and Sand bending will definitely add to that "spectacle" Boon wants MKX to be.

Because the earth can heal every damage done to them, and replace the wounds.

This only goes for earth-skinned Tremor, not for human tremor.

While I agree that it would be a cool concept. It would have to be part of his Xray move I'd image. The amount of healing done would have to undergo some balancing of course.

Tremor is a mystery to me. I never played SF so the extent of my knowledge is that he's a brown palette swap with earth powers.

That being said, I'm all for an earth powered character whether it's him or not.

I don't see why this character couldn't be a god, with the commanding of elements and all.

I hope Tremor doesn't turn out to be a God# 10.

Tremor strikes me as mysterious type of character that doesn't talk a lot, stolen from the Lin Kueij by Kano or whatever Black Dragon member was in control back then, and always used as enforcer/bodyguard and first line of powerful defence.

Tremor would be interesting as a new type of Cryomancer, but then a terramancer, a very very rare breed of creatures, much rarer than sub-zero, it could be so that Tremor is the last of his rare kind, or a mutant species of Cryomancer, as Reptile has already the last-of-his-kind storyline.

I can see Tremor standing behind Kano and who commands Tremor to destroy EVERYTHING (much like shao kahn/Sindel in anihhilation) and then he uses an enormous earth-wave or earthquake (or both) to destroy an entire area/building/city.

I like the mysterious, subtle aspect. But I dunno about being a lackey. Someone who's powerful enough to physically change the earth shouldn't be a #2. Especially to the grunt that Kano has always struck me as.
Now if he was part of the Lin Kuei, and a personal guard of the grandmaster, that's something I'd like to see play out. Considering Sektor isn't far behind on seizing control.

They may make Tremor a hulking beast like Torr and his background is that he use to be a ninja then got transformed into a monster. That is about it for my understanding at how he might look in the new game.

The same can apply to almost anything, they can heal from fire, water, wind, even other non-hellenistic elements. Your reasoning has no merit.
