This. As long as guests in games have found their spots as DLC and they remain options instead of forced in the roster i'm alright.

I kinda hope for another movie character rather than someone from another game.

I didn't have a problem with guest characters before and I don't now. Kratos did not bother me. I hope Jason Voorhees makes it into the game, whether part of the initial roster or DLC.

No guest character should ever make it into the base roster again, especially when it's shaping up to be something really promising this time around. That's just too ludicrous to even conceive.

Having guest characters, period, cheapens the brand in my opinion. I mean, was anyone really absolutely clamoring for effing Freddy Krueger in a Mortal Kombat game? And then NRS having to walk on eggshells in terms of handling someone else's intellectual property.

Kratos' inclusion was the worst example of the latter.

If you don't have to buy it, why complain about it?

I'm set for DLC, maybe not so much hyped about a guest character but oh well. I'm not going to cry a river about something I don't necessarily need.

I wasn't clamoring for Freddy but since I'm a HUGE horror/slasher aficionado I was pretty biased. But other than that- I totally agree.

It always feels like they took the place of another character regardless of how true it is.

Ed Boon confirmed that more characters will have descendants. Cassie Cage is not alone. Not sure if that's old news...

As long as it's Ash Williams, Spawn or Riddick,, I won't mind.

News to me, I don't think it's been 100% confirmed yet until now. I wonder who else it could work with. Jax I could totally see having a son. I'd miss the metal arms because with future technology they could be crazy looking. Kano I want back as an old gritty Black Dragon psycho so I don't want a son to be some new member or something. I could see Nightwolf having a badass Native American daughter though, I want that more than anything. Everyone else, not so much. More Lin Kuei members I want in, not related to Sektor or Cyrax though. But it could be cool to have a descendant of one of them, while still having one of them back. Also, it never accrued to me until now that having a cyborg in the game could be a brand new one since the Lin Kuei is automatizing members. It could be a robot version of one of their children too..hmmmm.

I would rather have Kratos again than the majority of the MK3-Trilogy-MK4 newcomers. Seriously, I could not care about Reiko and Shinnok even if they paid me.

The biggest news for me is the stamina bar affects some special moves. The question from the guy with the beard were pretty good. The other guy was annoying..... sry to say it.. :/

I don't like the idea of more than one descendant... i mean.. what happened? Gangbang in MKX? I hope they fit.

I'm not really fond of guest characters myself. In MK9, I used Freddy in the Fatality Theatre and once in arcade just to see his ending. As for Kratos, only in the Fatalit y Theatre.
All in all, I would rather have a full-out MK with new comers and returnees.

I'm really not sure why console exclusive characters are so bad. I personally love them. Hoping PS4 gets Sweet Tooth and Xbone gets a KI character. If they have console exclusives at all.

As for the DLC guest, I hope it's somebody good.

Delighted the guest is DLC. Jason Voorhees, for example, doesn't really do much for me so I'd pass on him. I'd pass on most guests, I'm not slagging Voorhees.

Console exclusives would be nice but if there's one of each it creates a problem in pro tournaments, so the guests would have to be banned (or one would). If they're doing console exclusive guests though, a KI guest for XBO is a must
