Amazing Jax talk been going on lately. Really popular character, There's clearly a lot of demand for a return.

I know MK is known for bringing back the dead as wraiths or zombies (Liu Kang), etc...I get that.

But consider for a moment how many people died in MK9, one would think that since the developers of MKX wanted to make this game the start of introducing a new generation of characters, that the developers might do something radical like make those who died in MK9...stay dead?

Of course there are exceptions such as Scorpion, who is the only confirmed walking dead hellspawn. And...ITS STILL NOT CONFIRMED THAT MKX SUB ZERO IS BI HAN. Although the intros and various other details might drift us into that direction, I have not seen a single confirmation yet that it is Bi Han from NRS. I mean it could be that long lost sister who decides to suit up to avenge the deaths of her two brothers, and get a sex change while at it, becoming MK's first transgendered character. I'm kidding obviously, but the point I'm making is we don't know definitively yet who this Sub Zero is.

Jax, Kung Lao, Sindel, Stryker, Cyber Sub Zero, Kitana, Kabal, Nightwolf, Smoke all will continue to be under the spell of Quan Chi because he has their souls, but beyond that, if Raiden or whoever else somehow manages to free them, maybe their souls go to heaven and they no longer play a role in the rest of the storyline to allow the new generation characters to step up.

Well what does the phrase "stay dead" mean to you?

To most people, it seems to mean "not be in the game".
And the point I've been trying to impress on people is that that's fucking impossible because of the Quan Chi story they set up.

Jax is black..... So...... Yeah..... Basically for mk that means hes like 90% in 10% hes out and theyll have a new black guy..... I mean 90% the reason Jax is even in most mk games is just cuz hes the token black char.... The devs have even refered to him as such..... Only reason he wasnt in mk1 was to have sonya instead and then in mkd they tried mixing it up with Darrius being the black face of that game which was not recieved well....

I'm sure this has nothing to do with race, but how come Jax is usually the only black dude in these games.

Everyone forgets about Cyrax. :P

Jax, Kai, Cyrax, Darrius, Jade, Tanya, etc etc etc all have melanin in their polygon/playstation skin.


I mean how come Sonya is the only blonde?

How come Kitana is the only fan user?
How come Scorpion is the only spear thrower?
How come Quan Chi is a bald-headed albinos?
How come Moloch has blue skin?
How come Goro is so extremely tall?
Why is Ferra such a midget?

Etc? ETC with the flop questions. lol

The moral of the story is that everyone is unique.
Fighting games have so many unique and diverse karakters.
It's one of the reasons why fighting games are so cool and fun to watch/play.

Yeah people that are not fond of Jax LOVE to reduce his role into being a stereotypical black guy. They don't have a leg to stand on tbh.

1.We now have Cassie, so Sonya is not the only blonde.
2.Did you forget about Khameleon and Chameleon? They are in the lizard family.
3.It is what it is, I guess lol. They can have a male with fans some time (MKX?).
4.Cyber-Smoke had a spear in MK3.
