If I only had to pick one character that I hate and want to frickin die and new come back (sorry, had to say that ) is Darrius, pretty much for the same reason everyone said.

Top three characters I never want to see again.... (Note: I'm not including so called hidden characters. Since you don't have to see them unless you really work at it.)

1. Li Mei--A Mileena wanna-be that never should have been introduced in the first place.

2. Bo Rai Cho--The dirty old man stereotype was already old before he came around.

3. Liu Kang--Enough with the turkey man with no personality.

You know, the second I saw this thread, I just knew at the same second "Chrome is going to say Sindel" Surprise surprise. But I'm not offended of anything. People are entitle to their own opinion.

I won't name names, but I wouldn't want to see most of the "fillers" from MK: DA and MK: D make a return. I say bring back more of the classics, Ermac included.

Jarek: like the others said, a Kano ripoff with no story of his own.

Sindel: she basically already done what she was meant to do, time to move on.

Kobra: like the others said, a Ken ripoff.

Havik: A stupid character that should have never saw the light of day.

Sheeva: Already proved her purpose.

Shao Kahn: If he is another main boss i'm gonna if not, then its alright.

Shujinko: A moron that was shoved down our throats

Stryker: No purpose at all. Whats his storyline?

Mokap: A bad excuse for a hidden character

Bo Rai Cho: A drunken old fart is not what i'm looking for in a fighting game. Tanya: We already have enough Subby and Scorpion female ninja ripoffs already. Kira: Another Kano ripoff Darrius: he looks to space-like Characters I would like to see again Shinnok: he has great potential since he is a fallen god. Rain: He never had a real chance in the mk spotlight. The female chameleon: (i don't know which is which) it would be awesome if chameleon got together with reptile and started to increase the saurian race. Kintaro: one of the best sub-bosses ever. Goro: i just like this guy for no reason Fujin: Didn't he take the place of Rayden? If he did he should show up in the mk series somewhere. Thats my list

Not really big fan of these threads because most of MK characters people hate are already M.I.A, and ones that are still in the MK world who people think that they have so-called "overdid there welcome" there not going nowhere anytime soon, especially if the character(s) are well established ones(Scorpion, Sonya, Sub-Zero etc,), so don't hold breath because you just be disappointed over and over again, as long as the MK characters appeal to certain groups of fans(doesn't have to be you), they will never die, no matter how hard you wish or dream.

Yes the storyline has to go on but keep the key characters who had made MK what it is now, i mean a famous franchise.

We just need more evolution and interaction between the characters and the it affects the game (for exemple: in MKD, good interaction between NOOB ans SMOKE in the storyline and it affects the gameplay directly, by playing one character....i'am not saying i like this idea i just say this is original, kind a surprising)

In a general way MKD did a very good interaction between characters (endings storyline, or crossover) but THE PROBLEM IS that we have new characters that completly sucks !!! Wherever old's MK has a lot of GOOD characters but who simply disappears....

....Just bring back some old characters and make them feel more involve in MK!!!!

You made some minor contradictory there. MK is ot the saem without Liu? Well, MKDA was prolyl the best selling MK game so far in recent history and lot of people were glad to see the turkey man go, at least for one MK.

The endings are either incoherent at best, problematic, slow dragged, and/or hold no true purpo-se whereas MKDA was storyline at it's best. The best examples are Sub-Zeros storyline ending, what actually tells us nothing save for his armors interaction. And to do an ending for just that, it's wrong at best considering written literature rules.

The new characters are always relative. For me, they don't suck. To me, most of the newcomers in MKD -attention everyone- are the best thing ever happened in MK ever since the second installment. Designwise I couldn't dig MK3, UMK3 (latex suit ninjas eargh, and an onslaught of them) MKT and MK4. It all comes down to personal taste, and even if you don't like it, most n00b characters in MKD hold more storyline than the newcomers of MK3-UMK3-MKT ever did (notice that the returning ones from UMK3 a.s.o. had improved plotlines too, for that goes a bonus token).

And sometimes it is necessary to erase someo-ne from future plotlines (Japan fighter syndrome, nobody goes away, they mysteriously always survive - Heihachi effect). This is a well layed and critical law of writing (good example: LOTR's Boromir, SW's Obi-wan, a.s.o)

Rethink this, becouse creating new, possible and balanced special moves is pretty hard.

Reasons why Scorpion has lost his charm:

-reason: revenge. It was good in MK1. good in MK2 for mysteriously rturning Sub-Zero. Dumb in MK4 especially retconning the sworn oath to protect the younger Sub-Zero (the only showing trait of honor besides a thrist for revenge), and thank God: mildly stupid execution of him rushing Quan Chi.

-let's face it. "Come here" and "Get over here" has faded through a decade (10 years OMG! 10 Years people!).

-the toasty was truly missing ever since MK2. (the staggering fools in MK4 Toasty were rather comical than gruesome)

-a new generation of MK players who mostly got into the series hasn't experienced a Scorpionsih supremacy throuh MK1-MK2 (though gameplay wise the ninjas were pretty low in MK2)

All OrderRealm characters from MK:D should die, Hotaro at the blade of kenshi, the rest, in a freak "When Fanboys Attack... crappy new characters" outbreak.

Besides them, i think it is fitting that Li Mei die at the hands of Raiden after betrying the heroes. This would;
1) Make Raiden's new character arc feel more realistic
2) Establish that characters CAN be killed off, even when it isnt there first game
3) Give her a fitting exit
I didnt mind her, but its just her turn.

I would also like to see Mileena kill baraka, hes had his run, his army has been destroyed, so he should either die alongside his doomed comrades, or at the hands of Mileena. Maybe a fitting twist would be his ending from MK:D, but instead of killing her, sneaking up on her. Before he strikes, she could seduce him, lay with him, then slay him in his sleep. Maybe she would fall pregnant and carry the future of her race inside??? This would also REALLY help with number 2 from above. I just think that it needs to be possible for established characters to die, so that things feel life and death, not "who cares if i loose, ill just be reborn in the netherealm"
