Is Brazil in Edenia now?

Jade nor Tanya are from Earthrealm. They are Edenian, a whole other realm. So they can't be from Brazil.

Anyways, wouldn't it be better to have an actual character FROM Brazil rather than just have some other character "represent" Brazil just because of her skincolour? I mean, I'm caucasian, but that doesn't mean I represent every country with white people in them. It doesn't make sense.

I accidently logged out and lol I just realized I logged in on my old account. I see what you are saying, but its not like any character from Earthrealm (sonya, jax, kano, liu kang, kabal, nightwolf, etc) have a location stated from where they are from. At least thats as far as I know.

Ive always wanted to see a Brazilian character who had small to medium sized blades in the front of their shoes and relied heavily on Capoiera. Have a projectile that had something to do with Carnival. Like a fiery headdress. and a fatality they could do a Meia Lua de Compasso type kick slicing the opponents throat they repeating the kick knocking off the opponents head

-include rich plantation owner, hunter
-an ex-nazi hiding in Brazil (would be more of an Argentinian thing though)
-a ghetto runner from the shantytowns
-an elderly football player
-a cowherder
-a woodsman/excavator worker who decimates the jungle

That is not an economical reason. You might as well put every nationality there by this logic.

I'm Danish. There are no characters in Mortal Kombat that even resembles a Scandinavian stereotype. Do you think if NRS made a Danish character and put him into MK, I would love the game more?

... not really. Because MK is not about that. The characters' ethnicity doesn't matter more than what realm they are from.

If a character is Brazilian, then cool... but does it matter? No.
What if the character turns out to be a complete douchebag? What if his moves are terrible? What if he looks like crap? Those things are more important than him being from a certain part of the world.

This is nothing against Brazil. I feel like this about any character who's concept is based on its nationality. I don't want an Edenian character just to have an Edenian character. I wouldn't want a Shokan just to have a Shokan. I don't want a human character just to have yet a human. I don't want a black guy, an Asian guy, a Scandinavian guy or whatever, just to have a character from that part of the world.

The nationality is a low priority, because a nationality does not make a character.
