I think Smoke's more popular than Ermac.

I think Smoke was a huge breakout character in MK9. Would be shocked if he wasn't included.

However, I think what I would like most is a brand NEW ninja. It's basically been since MK3 that we've not had any new ninjas, and they are kinda MK's THING.

Ermacs MK9 ending would be a great follow up for MKX butttttt what about Smoke & Noob? They are great characters (as long as they make Noob a bit more higher tier) Haven't seen any but i mean ANY amazing Noob players.
I've got my doubts if Tremor is going to appear as a ninja might be some look a like kabal/shaolin character.

Reptile has the best shot becuz he is "Iconic" but I think Noob Saibot has the best shot story-wise, since he is now linked to SubZero and Scorpion

I'm kinda hoping that Frost would return, but I'm not holding my breath. With Sub-Zero being in the game, it would be a waste to spend it on a character with similar powers, I guess.

It sounds like Reptile and Ermac are by far the most predicted.

To those commenting on Smoke, I'd say his chances are better than most other ninjas because there are so many incarnations of him. I wouldn't be surprised if NRS keeps that tradition going.

Reps fans, I love ya and all, but I'm hoping for Ermac and Noob Saibot.

I like rep too. Gameplay wise I'm sure he would be awesome, but story wise. He sucks.lol

I played it... and lords no, HORRIBLE game and Tremor was a HORRIBLE boss character. Nothing but a brown palette swap ninja who hurled stones at you. Nothing interesting about him at all.

Still, there are people who want him. Some people can be quite obscure though.

I can't believe we've gone THAT long without a new ninja in MK. Street Fighter has introduced new "shotos," so it's about damn time NRS introduces some new ninjas!

I think it will be Ermac because 25 years after MK3 I believe Reptile will be a fully evolved Lizard.

Reptile and Ermac, because apart from Scorpion, they were the only ninjas that survived MK9. I am a full supporter in the 'dead should stay dead' topic and I think that the people who died in MK9 should have a break. I too believe that the Ermac concept art was a little too polished and good looking to be not used, as well as the fact the guy had bloody in-game character models of Ermac in that same design on his portfolio. I think Reptile and Ermac (as well as any remaining lackeys) can just be the equivalent of lost souls just wandering around with no one to guide them. While I think Reptile will probably join whoever the main villain is, I think it would be cool for Ermac to join up with the remaining Earthrealm fighters and become a good guy again. Overall, I think they have the most story potential, with Noob coming in a close third.

If there was one more ninja I think it would be Ermac, if there was two I think it would be Reptile and Ermac and if there were three (I wouldn't go any higher then 3) then I think it would be Noob, Reptile and Ermac, and that would please me greatly.

I think the most likely candidate is Ermac, and I'd be absolutely fine with that.

I am absolutely fine with this, needless to say. Perhaps his time in the Netherealm causes him to regain his memories or some such; and he goes full-blown Enenra with a modicum of self-control.

I'd really want to see Ermac, but I could see Reptile coming back. If it's the latter, I hope they've given him a voice we get to hear.

That was done mainly so that she could have more specials. Chameleon had around 6 ninjas to borrow powers from. They should have done something with Khameleon too. Tanya still isn't a ninja. Never was.

The creativity of NRS to make a crap character a cool one, and we have yet to have an earth elemental in MK game

Crossing my fingers for Cyrax or Sektor. They are still members of the Lin Kuei, and technically Ninjas. Just mechanized.

And just a general question, would Ermac and Reptile still be classified as Ninjas? I mean, Ermac is a warrior comprised of thousands of souls. I doubt they were all Ninja souls. And his look is pretty far from being Ninjaish.

And Reptile, he's basically just a Reptilian warrior. If it weren't for his DLC outfits, he wouldn't be much of a Ninja anymore either.

The characters just really changed a lot since their first inception.
