I'd rather have him be a hybrid between his Mortal Kombat 4, Shaolin Monks, and some new twist if he's to be in this. I completely hated his Deadly Alliance look. Never would I have thought he would change into that.

I'll tell you how I don't like it.. it looks childish. Bafoonish. It looks like the ass end of a joke. Mkx has gritty art design. It just doesn't fit with the direction of the game.

I really want human Reptile to unleash his Raptor form during the fatality.

Always loved his classic fatalities where he pulls his mask off. Take that idea a step further somehow.

I'd take ANY previous version of Reptile any day over THAT.

I actually like Vincent Proce's concept a lot. I love that chain-mail mask.

I'm aware Reptile can't constantly be human. But I also don't want a constant lizard man either. Unicorned by Kahn's konquest, you'd think he would need the human disguise anyways. Must be hard being the last Raptor/Saurian/Zaterran stuck with a bunch of humans and humanoids. Like Razor said, he wouldn't always want to be recognized.

MK4 facial features were the best, I just hated the 3 finger deal and the diaper. His MKSM costume got closer to what I'd like to see. With variations in the mix this time, there'll be many ways they can execute his many different looks.

But even if he ends up a wimp/punching bag with terrible looks again, he'll still be muh boii. <3

He had his MKSM design in MKA. Yet, I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

I definitely don't want the exact same thing again. I'm just saying if they're not starting off with something completely new, base it upon that. I'd venture to say it was the most well-received.

Just saw your reply. Well the scales imo aren't such amazing detail that differentiates the character that much from the rest of the ninjas. It's just cloth texture. Most of the ninjas have gotten a specific look and I believe if I saw their MKX costumes, for example, in black and white I would immediately be able to tell who each one is. Ermac has that mystic look with the bandages, Scorpion has the bug details, Smoke now has the fabulous hair, etc, etc.
His reptilian appearance is an amazing part of who Reptile is, and I think they would be stupid to throw that out of the window for another human ninja costume. I am not saying make him look like MKDA, but his MK4/MKSM/MK9 costumes were amazing imo because they gave him an identity. They incorporated his reptilian features in the outfits, without him looking like a damn lizard with a ninja costume.
So yeah I still fail to see what's so special about Reptile's human form. But since you love that look so much, I hope you get what you want in MKX. Maybe as an alt costume ;)

Lizard/raptor same diff. I'm pretty sure he is generally perceived as just some sort of reptile. It was pointed out in another thread, that he and his race are most recently referred to as Raptors.

No; I'm not interested in him shedding his skin, that sounds silly. I am interested in him revealing his lizard/raptor/true form during his fatality like in the old days during his fatality. Whatever allows Reptile/Scorpion/Ermac(?) to look human and then pull off their mask to reveal what they really look like, NRS should do more with that idea. I think it's cool.
