Future Weapons:
Throwing Knives
Grappling Hook
Double Bladed Sword
(not what I quite had in mind, but similar)
Whip
Morning Star (spike ball with chain)
Throwing Axe(s)
Slingshot
Tiger Fork
Cutlass or Sabre
Spiked Club
Those are many others I want to see as well.

A unique idea would be if for some reason scorpion wont be in the next mk game, his son should be in it.Remember that he has a wife and kid. Well some how they should uncover that scorpions son knew that the lin kuei killed his father and he wants to plan revenge against there leader sub zero, but the sub zero that killed scorpion has been killed and now is known as noob saibot.Scorpions son doesnt know that. So he plots to kill the wrong sub zero(poor guy, everybody wants to kill him). They probably get a few new charcters from that story line.
Scorpions son Should have similar moves to scorpion and the moves should be performed in a human way
The spear: It is mostly the same as the rope comes from the thing on his hip.He should throw it like a javelin. And instead of "Come Here" or "Get over Here" It should be something like"Get Back Here" or something like that.
Teleport Punch: instead of appearing through fire, he should throw a smoke bomb and then appear and hit the guy
The back flipping firekick:It should be a nice clean kick And almost the same as scorpions.Half way throught the kick, His son should Throw the spear at the ground so he can swing back to his feet after the kick
Fatalities: he should quickly soak the spear in a flammable substance, then throw the spear in to the persons chest, then strike the rope to set it on fire and it will move to the other person and burn the up
And maybe Scorpions son will kill these characters in this list LOL!
1.Jax
2.Nitara
3.Striker
4.Liu Kang( Again)
5. Bo Rai Cho
6.Mega Man

Scorpion will probably be in the next MK because he is a fan favorite, especially to Ed Boon. Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the poster boys of MK.

Some Mythology ideas:
Apollo
The god of the sun. He travels through the skies each day in a firey chariot and observes all that takes place on Earth.
Selene
Goddess of the moon.
Polyphemus
A one-eyed giant (Cyclops) who held Odysseus and his men captive in his cave in the Odyssey. Other Cyclopes include: Arges, Brontes, and Steropes.
Scylla

The Sirens
Two beautiful maidens who dwell in a flowery meadow on an island somewhere between that of Circe and the rock of Scylla. They tempt passing mariners to cast themselves overboard and perish on the rocks surrounding their island by singing a tantalizing song, in which they promise to give their victim all sorts of pleasures, and knowledge of all things that have ever happened or ever will happen.
Poseidon
Also known as Neptune. Younger brother of Zeus, the god of the sea and of earthquakes, father of Polyphemus.
Zeus
Also known as Jupiter. The supreme god and king of Olympus. He is officially neutral in human affairs; his duty being to carry out the will of Destiny, but he is often sympathetic toward humans.

I say keep the current cast for one more fight...AGAINST ANIME!!!
I had this idea where the kombatants find out that anime has taken over America and turned people into mindslaves, as well as violence being removed from all other games. It is up to the Kombatants to stop this disaster and bring good old bloody beating back to gaming.
Key Points:
-All MKA Kombatants are available, and cameos from other titles abound!
-Each Kombatant has alternate kostumes from other titles (ie Human Smoke, DA Blaze, MK3 Stryker...) or something totally different!
-KILL ANIME!! (Big Ups!)
-Personality makeovers (ie Hotaru's case of OCD, Kahn being ghetto)
-Interviews (People asked for it!) -Actual Cutscenes for endings! (Just like MK4, but more comedic and with better graphics
Gameplay: I thought of it being like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, save one thing: The Xtreme attack is replaced with an ability to change a Kombatant's supermoves into Fatalities! (Note: another meter is necessary to prevent spammers.)

Me and my friend thought it would be cool to have a Mortal Kombat MMORPG.
It would be in the view of Konquest, but you could explore all the different worlds through portals, communicate with other people, start clans, customize your character, fight NPCs while in the wilderness, and, every so often, run into a character from the MK series (they, too, would be NPCs).
Overall, it would just be something I believe could take that damn World of Warcraft to the ground.

Also, it seems to look that there will never be another Killer Instinct game.
I think it would be a great idea if the MK team bought the rights to KI and used the characters and intwined them into the MK series.

I do like the " How much damage a weapon can take b4 it breaks", Very creative. After MK3, Noob's Dorfen was left out of the future games, I'd like to see a new, 3-d version of it. (I sorta need help getting rid of that site down there)
Hmm well what I would like to see Mortal Kombat become is an Massive Multi-Player RPG. Where we can creat our own characters and build them up through challenges of multiple kinds like one on one or arena fighting. Also you would have Clans to represent and eventually make your own and branch off. For example someone can join Sub-Zeros Clan and someone else can join Red Dragons Clan, and those two can go head to head in Mortal Kombat to gain fame, fortune or power. Well I could go on and on but I think is sufficient for now. Let me know what you or anyone thinks about my idea please.

I like the concept, but hate the idea of playing a game on my computer. lol
I'd rather they improve the Online play, and give us a complete console game far in advance a MmOrPG.
And yea, again, that's an idea that keeps popping up.

A MMO doesn't necessarily have to be using the keyboard. It can be using a controller that's plugged into the USB port.
A Mortal Kombat MMO would be a pretty cool move, however I doubt that Ed Boon and his guys would add new areas and such when everyone has conquered the landscapes. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows. If there was a MK MMO, you should be able to join the Shirai Ryu, Brotherhood Of The Shadow, Lin Kuei, White Lotus, or the Tekunin. Whatever group you pick influences your character's costume greatly. The Shirai Ryu may still be undead and you'd be a zombie.
In The Brotherhood, you'd take a more dark appearance obviously, a kind of Noob Saibot look. If you're a lin kuei, you're sporting blue/red/or gray. With the White Lotus, you can take the appearance of a regular monk or create your own looks. In the tekunin, you'd look mechanical and the highest ranking set of armor you are given is the MKA cyber ninja gear in whatever color you wish. The lower ranking set would be MKG, and before that...MK3.
When you die, you go to the netherealm. To return to your original body, you must go back through the portal to the realm inwhich you died in. All of the portals are scattered however and you could be there for awhile. The fighting system is what I want to see. I don't want WOW's turnbased stuff, I want to press T,F,G, or H to perform the basic attacks and move around with arrow keys.
I can see having different people making cameo appearances in a MK MMO like MKD's Konquest mode. Stryker is finding out what he needs to know about Mortal Kombat from Liu Kang's spirit, etc.

How about some new stuff. New groups.
Megaera Knight Order
A noble monastic order of peace and prosperity, that keeps the peace and defends Earthrealm. Since the dawn of the Mortal Kombat tournament, the Knight Order have competed in the tournament to defend Earthrealm along side the Shaolin Order. Known for their practice in the ways of the living force, the life energy, and their swordsmanship of the katana, their signature weapon.
Sinith Order
The philosophical opposites of the Megaera Knight Order. An order that devotes to destruction, evil, darkness, and chaos. Known to practice sorcery, the black arts, and the dark chaotic ways of the living force, the life energy. Known to practice the same swordsmanship of the Megaera Knight Order, the swordcraft of the katana, their signature weapon. Devoted to destroy the Knight Order and all that is righteous. An ally to all that is evil.
Possibly some guilds for future Konquest modes:
Fighters Guild
Mages Guild
Thieves Guild Secret Guild

NEW ADDITIONS TO THE GAME I DEVISED!
1. From now on, it will be called the United Mortal Kombat Memorial (UMKM)
2. Special misson mode (Like SMB:M) but involving pivotal fights that shaped the path of Kombat history.
3. Some answers to some big questions! (Like what is Sub-Zero's real name, Sindel's age, Kahn's history, is Chameleon really from Zaterra, who really won Armageddon, as well as legions more)
Who wants Komba to go on one final war say Say YEAH!

IMO
After Armageddon. I think MK should go Action RPG. Meaning the single player Konquest is more RPG fare and huge like that of Oblivion. For this i think Bethesda Softworks should be in on it. Midway hasnt done picture perfect with MK. Boon should still be on board. But i think Bethesda is perfect for my idea.
It would be more like a battle amongst the realms.
Or an RTS where one character leads there realms against the others. Not sure how itd work but it sounds cool.
Characters: Should definitely be refined.
All i got now

I think they should make a mode similar to Kwonho (the hero of fist)... Like have a normal story mode, but replace konquest mode with a MMORPG with a fighting system. Have players create their KAK and run through this world fighting other players characters using the same fighting system in story mode except with an added leveling up system.
First of all, a MMORPG for Mortal Kombat would be freaking awesome; great idea whoever came up with it.
My idea involves a complete upgrade to 'Kreat a fighter.' It seemed to me that playing with a smaller model made your character a whole lot faster, but using the big model didn't seem to similarly reward you with big damage. The character optimization strategy will always be to play a female of the smallest size. I would introduce actual ability scores to KAF: speed, strength, constitution, intelligence, & magic.
All Kharacters should be created equal: everyone gets the same amount of points to distribute
Speed: How fast your Kharacter moves. the higher score, the quicker and more nimble the character. At very high levels, characters can move backwards faster than boss characters move forwards as an extreme example.
Strength: Obviously, strength determines how much damage you deal per hit. Furthermore, high strength Kharacters get additinal range with their throwes and uppercuts: the distance an opponent flies throught the air during the throw is determined by strength making it easier to achieve death trap wins for very strong character. Just grab, toss, and watch the show!
Constitution: add a bonus to health, and also makes Kharacters immune to throwes and trips from the relatively low strength & speed opponents, respectively
Intelligence: Reflects a Kharacters martial arts training. Higher intelligence means longer, more complex combos that deal more damage than the standard "punch, punch, punch" combo.
Magic: It's a bad name, but magic refers to the number of special moves available, and the effectiveness of those moves. Once a player inputs his intelligence, he gets a second pool of mana points that are spent on acquiring special moves.
In addition, I want a full audit on known characters ability scores. Characters like Shang Tsung should have high magic and intelligence while Jax has lots of strength and constitution. I know the game designers already do this, but the actual stats aren't available to the players: the designers would probably benefit from a more balanced game with a public rating system for characters, and it's essential for Kreate a Fighter to give us the power to make such decisions. Why should we all be using exactly 4 special moves, and exactly 3 button combos [before including pop-ups and other creative ideas] ? Maybe I wanna trade special moves for longer combos, or vice versa.
Perhaps it should even be possible to find magic items in Konquest mode such as a ring of invisibility giving your KAF a bonus special move. These items should be very hard to find. And possibly even randomly assigned [no two discs should have the exact same Magic items available]. Think of the marketing Boon! players will buy multiple copies of MK8 just to find that special item they've always wanted!

Armageddon was supposed to be the end, all the warriors were supposed to be disarmed or killed. I think they should use the battle at the pyramid as a massive extinction for the overused and uninteresting characters. Kill off the characters nobody likes or are bored with. keep the favorites and continue with their stories. Introduce new characters that aren't somehow godlike.
Also, I think they should use the Sub Zero/Noob Saibot line, and maybe through Scorpion and Frost into it. Make Frost that long lost sister hinted to in Sub Zero's bio. I would love to see the four of them fight it out for the Dragon Medallion.
They should either destroy the Zattera angle or else introduce more characters and make it interesting

the new mortal kombat coming on the nintendo ds is going to look weird because of the fact dat the nintendo ds is a 2-d video game console and the characters are going to look worse than the mortal kombat one {no offense} beause mk 1 was the starting time of the hot mk's and it was only 93 but that is very weird about the ds and what could possibly be on there i need to know before i buy that game on my ds lite and mk armageddon was very lame because i beat the game in 1 and a half days ND THE KONQUEST was boring and easy and then the game gets boring after one whole week

Um...Should have a sense of a refined homage to the old games. They don't do a terrible job here. They just miss strong points alot...ALOT
Arenas:
Were vibrant killing grounds, now they're just elaborately constructed dungeons. I think the only exception here in the early games was Goros Lair. Which was fitting.
They way I'd like to see this change is for them to (tah dah) put color back into where we get to kill each other. What's wrong with using the seasons? Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall? How about they use some of these lately very colorful martial arts movies like Jet- Li's "Hero", Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha, House of Flying Daggers, ect ect? Red, orange, yel-low, green, blue, pur-ple?
In MkA, we have (what is it?) something like 20 arenas? 36 total places in the game to have a fight, and all but 1 are "dark", or "night-like" with brightly colored accents. It was to where, when it was time to perform a fatality, the only thing you could have done, was to make the background pitch black.?.?
I don't want that anymore. Instead, I want it to feel like I am doing something reeeeaally wrong on this beautiful scenery. See what I mean? When the time comes to darken the screen in Mk8, it should seem like the son of death just walked in and, sucked most of the life and color from the arena.
Flowers should whither, things in the room should start melting away, fires should seem like they were choked out for lack of oxygen and everything. I would explode if I saw a dripping//spilled blood effect, or smoke-like effect turned translucent black roll over the screen to accomplish, "Finish Him//Her" when a fatality is about to be performed....that's a next gen mortal kombat arena. That's the kind of shit I wanna see.
Characters:
This is one of the main places they don't "get wrong", but just miss points. The "homage" to the older games I was talking about should be simple for Mk8......"sleek -er" characters.
What I'm saying here, is remember Mk1-T. Remember how those characters were "actually humans", and ditch this "bulky character design". People are not bulky... Sometimes, I'll be watching the vids of Carlos Pesina doing the Mo Cap and think...I wonder if his anatomy effects the way they're making the characters? But I know better. lol
Anyway, they don't really need "help" in character design because they can already "make things pretty". Just skim these characters down a bit(mainly the men characters) and that's it, the rest from there they got already.
Special Effects:
It seems like they need ideas here. To make that more realistic, it seems like they need more help making alot more kinds of effects actually "happen" in the game.
What I mean is, elements that we have to work with in "video" kinda boil down to a few. But they all can be put into two or three categories//umbrellas:
1. Nature//Elements
a. earth[rocks, sand]
b. wind[invisible influence on things in any direction]
c. water[anything liquid]
d. fire[from little fires, to explosions]
e. smoke[shadows are not excluded from smoke, and could even be considered it's own category]
2. Magic//Wizardry. (things that are made up of ^^#1 here^^. Like "ghosts", or the Pheonix Bird...... or shapes, or other inanimate objects to become animated for example)
3. Divinity (super speed, super stregnth, flying ect)
Did I miss anything you've seen in a movie or video game?
What I wanna see is elements like "Flesh" be implemented in Mk8. Flesh can be closely associated with "Jelly". "Jelly" is a composition of two I have already mentioned "Earth and Water"...More or less. A problem I see in actually making that idea happening is how do you animate "Jelly//Flesh" in the game without it taking a bunch of time and money to do? On the other side of that problem, I haven't seen or heard a reason why nobody has figured it out yet....and that's what we want to pay for....That kind of innovation in the game.
Something else that I want to see is that infamous rumor about "shredding//tearing clothes". Again, I don't know why nobody's figured out how to implement it...but I want it in Mk8. I'd probably piss myself the day I see a subtlety in an FmV where somebody just "rips a piece of paper with their hands". Note: We've seen people crumple paper before..
Ya know, what's funny about this part is, if they can make Li Meis' boobs jiggle around(jelly), and they can rip the skin off another character(paper) .....2 & 2 together = ??
meh
Special Effects in mk should be culminations of more of these elements at once, and more constantly. Not just body rips...(I know, I know.)
Another thing I'm saying here, is that there is far too much material on earth for 80% of the roster to only have "fire inspired" special moves. There's enough to only have one or two people with a fire//chi element at thier will....and then, they should be SO different you don't even recognize them as the same. (i.e. the differences-in-use between "a flame",
and "lava")
Furthermore, look at how many "Mancies" are possible. The list goes on foreeeever. lol
There's so many things they could do with the elementals it's numbing...even o a simplistic level if that was a problem.
Textures//Shading - Animation:
I think "we've" figured out these things, technologically speaking. I think the technology is far advanced enough by now to even make a fighting game with extreme detail. Therefor, I think there should be a team associated with textures//shading all on their own, and then a team dedicated to animating those things all on their own. Duh, "I'm not the guy with the money", but, if they cut out alot of the bs on the disc, we could get that "fantastic Mk game" we conceptualize about.
Anyway, that's been a prominent gripe from developers for years now; "how to get things looking more realistic", and then translating enough of that look into real time game-play animation.
What I want from Mk8(especially since they're using the same Engine) is the visual quality of a Gears of War, or God of War FmV....but in real time.
Far cry maybe, but if it's too far off, there's other "shit" in the game or on the disc that could've//should've been sacrificed to get it "like this" idea.
Overall Appearance:
I think a statement Boon made during the creation of Mk3-T has falsified a bit. I think he said something like: "Nobody wants to pay for reality."
The problem with that statement now, is that everything on regular t.v. is a more reality based t.v. show. More of the movies that we go and see at the theaters are "Based on a True Story". So let's be crazy for a second and make the game more real than it's been. That's different enough from the rest of these fighting games out here all by itself.
Underlinings of this kind of thing has ties with sound and story too. Thing is, we are not swayed as much by "the voice of a god" or "the voice of the devil himself" as we were 10yrs ago(it's changed now). Much less the actual appearance of some really super powerful being, and then being able to play with him//her. Took that "mystique" away from them when we began haveing playable access to the Boss characters....I think a large part of this issue is based solely in what all we see they are capable of....
For instance, Raiden is a God and he only has a couple "special moves" to speak of. Same with Fujin. These dudes have to prove it in a video game....they gotta show why they're gods...or boss characters, or sub bosses, or leaders of they're factions, or "the #1 person", ect ect. We need to see and understand that kind of power.
Reason being, alot of these things have been exploited to a level where even little kids are desensitized to them("just special moves" are a bit below the standard now...even the linguistic title "special move" is dated. Now it needs to be "abilities", or "talent" or "Art" or something like that). In the movie "Bruce Almighty", "God" himself is played by Morgan Freeman. What's scary//intimidating//threatening//fearful about "God" in that movie? Even if it is supposed to be funny..
Sht, more people buying a game like Mk now-a-days, have a fear of being "terrorized" more than "just being killed". You gotta scare the shit outta people now just to get a rise out of them. lol. "Shootings" and "Warfare" have now become more vivid, and even better, the standard for video gaming now.
For Mk8, I would love to see more....:
1. terror // threats
2. brutality
3. disgust
4. apparent fear
5. overall emotional or physical stress
....implemented into the visual aspects of the game. Because from what I gather, the general census doesn't care enough for the current level of these things in our latest games.
It's not visually engaging enough to hold the attention of the players much past figuring out what's wrong with it and tossing it aside.
I also think that the current level of these aspects of psychology in Mk, lessens (or has lessened) our general "care" for new game characters. Simplified: We don't care enough about the new characters they put in the game.
This I feel, is because the psychology behind the visual is not considered currently when they just "make a character". Has to do with story mostly. But my point is this example:
In any war type game, when your character pulls the trigger on his//her riffle and lets off an array of shots, you don't just see the bullets come out and hit//miss the target.... Instead, you might see and hear him//her screaming in anger or frustration. You might see//feel pure aggression or gratification as the gun fires.
Now, take Jax or Stryker..... they both just get in this really subtle firing position, the gun makes some noise, and you either hit or miss your mark. Jax expresses himself with a GUN by spewing forth: "Oh Yea" in MkdA, and
Styker doesn't make a sound at all in MkA..?...?
Aren't these people fighting for their life's? Aren't these people supposed to be aggressively pursuing some "ultimate source of power" or defending some honor or higher purpose than themselves? Doesn't look or sound like it to me. It doesn't "feel" like it visually as is.
Why should I care about a new character if I can't "visualize" that I should?
More reality in the next Mk is needed imO.
--
Far as seeing the stess on a person when they perform a "special move", be practical. Use the body of the character in the animation more than just "performing the move". Sure, alot of this has been there, but they missed points consistantly.
"Chi power" comes from the belly//stomach and can be focused to a limb of the body, and then, is most commonly accompanied by a real scream or yell. Everybody should have their own voice actor, because not every character will say the same things or sound the same at all. Nor does the same character express themselves the same way while performing the same move every time..
Any form of a "mancy" should probably come from the thing they are "willing control over". Necromancy should likely look as if they pull from the ground(Like Quan Chi in the MkA intro). Same with an "earth" person. Fire people should likely pull strength from the sun. Water people = Moon Wind people = centrifugally forces...."Ninjas" = shadows...Magicians or Sorcerers? Outta fuckin' nowhere lol!! All I'm sayin' is they need to be practical about it.
Then, as far as arenas overall, they need to have more subtleties affect the match. Like stuff falling off the walls or tree branches and stumps...rocks on the ground or little foot holes you actually can step in or trip over(a stray dog runs across your fight if you're outside). We should be able to quickly use things or people(yes, or people) in the arena against our opponent. What I'm saying here is that it's a fight, you don't hold on to shit when you fight somebody.....Some people throw shit and run, some people kick things at you, some people fight systematically, and set you up to have shit hurt you while you're fighting(he trips him to burn his hands on the stove or in the fire pot)........hmp, sometimes the space you're fighting in limits how you can move and still hurt your opponent....
In addition yea, be able to explode into different parts of the arena, but why not use the door against your opponent? Ever slammed the door in somebodies face? Ever seen it? It's hilarious but it hurts like a s.o.b.
Too, "pretty arenas" doesn't mean "without the possibility of death" cuz you can die anywhere. It just makes where you fight interesting. Use color...but "terrify it // petrify it" when it's time to kill your opponent.

My ideas for MK8 are pretty basic, but I think that might be what is needed. Basically, what I want would be more realism
CHARACTER DESIGN: I would rather have 8 or 9 well designed characters than have 24 mediocre characters. In terms of appearance, each character apart from maybe scorpion and sub zero should look completely different. Even then I would prefer for them to be different from each other. Have characters that are anatomically correct, make the characters look real. Don't bring back too many characters. Scorp and Sub are like the mainstays, the Ryu and Ken of MK. They should stay. Characters should be mainly human with a few characters from other races, reflecting MK1.
FIGHTING STYLES: Rather than have seperate styles, I would prefer certain characters to use weapons and certain characters not to use weapons. For example, Kitana could use her fans to swipe instead of a punch move, this is natural for her as her fans are part of her character, but someone like Sonya who isn't identified by her weapon, she should just have kicks and punches.
Each character should have a good solid amount of specials, but not in a ridiculous amount. The fighting should look real and feel natural. Keep none-realistic moves down to a minimum, keep a few fireballs and stuff but don't give every character some ridiculous move.
Also, rounds should last longer. Taking from wrestling games, maybe include moves that concentrate on certain body parts. Weaken them down. Eventually if you hurt someones legs enough, they might not be able to perform high kicks for example. This should extend into the second/third rounds of a battle as well. Characters who are injured more can build up aggression which gives them a boost of strength, evening out a battle.
FATALITIES: Fatalities should be awesome. They are what the game is known for. I propose that they go back to the cut scene fatalities of old, however what I would change is instead of going to a fatality screen after the battle, a fatality can be performed during battle when the opponent character is on critical health, getting rid of the stupid "dizzy" fatality screens. Each character should have 4 or 5 fatalities.
UNLOCKABLES: Each character should have alternative costumes from the outset, and then unlockable costumes as well. Also, beating the game with a character should unlock another character. Let's say there are 8 characters to start with, this would make 8 unlockable characters, and perhaps a boss character or 2 as well. The unlockable character should be each characters sub-boss, and vice versa. This can progress the story somewhat. For example, Sub Zero could unlock Noob Saibot or Frost.
ARENAS: As varied as possible, full of different bits here and there, extending on Armageddon/Deceptions arenas. Have loads of different levels in an arena. Maybe include a weapon on certain arenas. Death traps should come back, but they should only be usable in final rounds of a fight or again when a character is in critical condition.
So, in a few words, my ideas are basically to take everything back to basics and make it as real as possible, everything should be seemless and gritty. Get rid of the comedy elements. Build on the characters, make an uncomplicated storyline that hooks you in. Rather than building on the MK mythology, start over again without too many references to the current storyline - it's too messy to make sense any more.
