One of the characters from the show is from Canada, and she is always reminded about it by the others and they make a really big deal out of it in the show in general. For example, when everyone else think it's cold outside, she shows up in shorts. And she pronounce certain words in a Canadian accent... stuff like that. :P

Okay...so I swear I wasn't imagining this...
Has anyone else done the blood ball on Nightwolf while he's doing the reflector?
I think he gained health back from it!
Edit: They added a new 'attract' video (if you sit idly by at the title screen) with Skarlet (that is if you bought her), which I think is nice. Rather she had a damn Nekropolis spot, though....*mutter*

I never use that projectile. Sure, it does a lot of damage (15%), but it's too risky.
If it's blocked, you just pissed away 7% of your life. And if you accidentally do it when you're weak, you can risk K.O.-ing yourself.
Besides, it arcs up and it's kind of slow.

It really is freaking slow! I abhorred that move when it was premiered and I still abhor it now. I did try it out during my ladder play of her and I still hated it.

I like the fact you can controll where it goes, but other than that, I'm not a fan of it.

The odd thing is, though, that it always 'hits' high, no matter where you aim it...
Weird.
Has anyone found a combo that uses the Blood Ball?
IMO, it's Skarlet's only real "new" move, and it would be a shame for it to be rather useless.
I feel like Skarlet should have some Special that heals her if her opponent's blood hits her, kinda like Alucard in SOTN. Not anything crazy, just little slivers of health to help justify the Blood Ball.
Also, Skarlet's one of the few characters where healing mid-match makes sense to me.

I totes did not realize you could control where it goes lmao.
I agree. If Shang can get his health back in a move, Skarlet obviously should as well. I mean they promote her as being strengthened by the blood of her enemies and we see no real proof of that.

Glad it's not just me
I just had a better idea of how it could work, too-
she could do a quick Tai Chi-type stance (appropriate as "Tai Chi" literally means "blood power" in Japanese),
during which she absorbs all of the blood splattered on her body.
This would turn her "clean" and heal her- either based on how much blood she absorbed, or a set amount... say, 7%
This same mechanic could also be used to throw a "free" Blood Ball-
she would use their blood instead of hers if she has it on her.
This could also make The Pit Bottom her "home territory," as she has an advantage with the unlimited blood supply.
But oh well, wishful thinking.
If anything, Skarlet needs to be weakened, not made stronger.
It would've been cool to see this kind of stuff, though.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the blood ball either. I would have preferred an attack allows her to drain an opponent of their blood and gives her strength.

I did. I was agreeing with them
honestly i was hoping skarlet would have something along the lines of her damage starts out low in a match but as blood gets on her skin her damage would slowly increase throughout the course of the match.....ya know since they said she gets stronger by absorbing blood but the only time this comes into any sort of play would be her fatalities and her arcade ending(does anyone even care about a kharakter's ending?i mean...honestly..)
oh well, minor complaint. skarlet's still among my favorites
oh yeah and i love the blood ball...FYI, doesn't ALWAYS get lobbed up in the air. you control it(to a degree)

Considering that Skarlet does pretty high damage on some of her combos(many without using meter) having her do more damage as the fight goes on seems overly cheap, especially for such a fast and damaging character.
If she had an attack that absorbed her enemy's blood like many others have mentioned, like Shang Tsung does with the soul steal to gain health, that would be fine.

Is it? Hmm...after checking, I guess you're right.
I swear I used it once against someone who blocked it and it took away 6% of his life instead of 15%.
Maybe it was Shao Kahn I used it against when had his armor on.....
Regardless, that projectile still sucks. It's slow, you can't really combo it, and it's too risky.

thats not exactly what im saying lol meant more so for her dmaage to start much lower than what it actually is...like for her to START the fight weak and get stronger as she gets more blood on the skin
