So scorpion kill the older sub zero cause quan chi told him sub zero killed his family and it was a lie and if quan chi never told that lie, then scorpion would of never wanted to kill sub zero in the 1st place. So younger sub zero wants to get revenge cause he killed his brother "unjustly". So younger sub zero learns his older brother's powers, has his brother's apprence, and gets his brothers code name so he can trick scorpion into beliving that he is the older brother and that scorpion killed the younger sub zero and as i can see scorpion has been tricked by sub zero because the whole reason why scorpion is joining the tornamet so he can get to sub zero and sub zero is joining the tormarnat so he can get to scorpion. So sub zero made a plan to kill him.

and also i think the reason why they said he is the orignal sub zero cause he took his brothers place since he learned his brothers powers, has his brothers apperece, and his code name.

Oh and BTW i watch both videos over and over and over again to understand this.

What pisses me off is that everyone in this board was crying "This is the older brother" and I'm sitting here thinking "How is this the older brother when this Sub-Zero can perform his Ground Freeze which only the MKII (younger) Sub-Zero possess?". And sadly I was convinced that it was MK1 Sub-Zero. I need to trust my instincts more often.

Classic Sub-Zero knew the ground freeze in both Mythologies and UMK3/Trilogy. That wouldn't have been proof of anything.

People, they never tell us which of them is older in the video. Maybe YSZ is who died and became Noob or whatever they're planning. I'm probably wrong, of course, but it'd be a somewhat interesting change. Just because one Sub-Zero came first doesn't mean he's older than the other guy, that's all I'm saying.

ahh i got this off of mk wiki so i dont know if its true. so this would have to be the younger sub zero in mk9, but during this timeline younger subs dont have the medallion yet. so, i guess they just put it in for eye candy.

To be fair, they also let Frost form weapons out of ice without the medallion, then explained that the difference the medallion actually makes is Sub-Zero's sword is able to be much larger than her daggers.

But the ice sword in this game is much thinner than the MKDA Kori Blade and shatters easily.

No, that's quite a bit smaller than the MKDA Kori Blade was. And actually, the in-game graphics make it look even thinner than that and a bit curved, like a cutlass.

Yeah,the Kori blade in this game is not really used as any sort of permanent weapon as it appear to shatter on impact.

Actually, the video does tell us that Bi-Han was Sub-Zero first and Kuai Liang didn't complete his training and take the name until after Scorpion killed his bro.

Which means Bi-Han is the one from Mythologies, the older bro, because Mythologies is still canon, since Raiden only sent the his message back to MK1, and stuff that happened before MK1 can't be changed.

One who pays attention to the words the developers speak doesn't need hope, he has facts.
Ed and co. have repeatedly said this game is a retelling of MK1 thru 3, not Mythologies thru 3.
Besides, Mythologies wasn't even Elder Sub-Zero's first mission, he was already one of the Lin Kuei's best assassins by that time. But this game IS Kuai Liang's first mission, according to the bio video. That definitively makes him the younger brother.
Any attempt to reason otherwise is grasping at straws that don't exist.
