From the way some people are talking you'd think Jade was doing something extremely explicit. All she does really is spin around the pole and sits down. Though the obvious intent behind giving her this is plain as day it's not even PG13 stuff.

You can make the case that it doesn't suit Jade though.

Others might not agree with that (which has been shown in this thread), but they're not the ones who get to decide that. Nor am I. I'm just lucky I like the winning pose they gave her. ^^

Either way people are overreacting to the win pose. It sounds worse than it actually is. It's kind of like Kitana's win pose and how upset a lot of people were with her winking.

I know! The MKO community is full of people who like to overreact at the smallest of things. One thing is to dislike some things in the game, another is to go completely berserk about it.

I was glad to see some more footage of her during the feed. Gameplay of her are quite rare actually. Can't wait to main her. She's great.

There's a big difference between being and looking sexy and emulating a stripper in a sleazy and undignified fashion for cheap titillation.

I think QueenSindel(TheBitch) had you right. You're either being deliberately obtuse or you just don't grasp concepts like context.

I remember a time where no one really noticed Jade and only saw her as another Kitana palette swap, not worth the attention. Some people even hated Jade so much that every time I wrote something positive about her, they bashed me so hard and did all in their might to try and convince me that Jade is the worst character in fighting game history.

Back then, I felt like I was the only one who actually liked Jade. And now I read posts like this:

She just seems like a belly dancer type character to me. It suits her. You see Sonya saluting, because it suits her.

In other fighting games, you have Cammy showing off her ass because....well she wears that suit, lol (I dunno).

I dont know, perhaps I'm asking for too much but I always found the females of Mortal Kombat sexier back when they still left something to the imagination. I mean, I don't even find women sexually attractive, but the MK females oozed sex appeal back in the day when their sexuality wasn't pushed in our faces.

Sonya was the sexy Blonde chick who's hard-as-nails personality and determination made her a sexy, kick ass blonde bombshell. Kitana was the regal, refined but talented assassin who always carried herself with an air of class and self-respect despite being quite capable of getting down and dirty in combat, which if anything only enhanced her already beautiful features. Arguably the best Mileena ever looked was Deception in her Primary outfit, when her sexuality was more of a playful nature than a lascivious one and her intellect and tact were just as sharp as her teeth.

That's when the females where at their best, when their most identifiable traits weren't immediately their sex appeal. It was their characters, style and demeanor that ultimately made them sexy, not high heeled boots and gigantic boobs. I'm all for women and men being able to express themselves sexually with their clothing styles, but barely there ensembles that further fall apart with battle damage, sultry victory poses and huge breasts aren't required for the MK girls because it takes the attention away from the most defining parts of those characters: Their story and personality. The majority of fans, old and new, will only spot Jade's now nearly fully exposed cleavage or Mileena's increasingly deteriorating body thong whilst playing this game rather than the very things the fans have grown to love about them for all these years.

Just my opinion though, I'm not asking for anybody to agree with it.

Stripper would suggest the removal of an item of Jades clothing. Does she take anything off? No. So saying Jade is like a stripper is plain wrong. Pole dancer, maybe? But is it right that it is strictly strippers (people who remove their clothing) who participate in pole dancing? No.

They obviously were not going with the stripper association, as they would have had Jade perform a striptease. As they have not shown Jade removing an article of clothing in her winpose, then assuming they have done this with having Jade as a stripper in mind is not a fair assumption at all.

Not all pole dancers are strippers, and not all strippers are pole dancers. Pole dancing has other uses outside of erotic entertainment. The fact you make the assumption that NRS have made Jade out to be stripperish only shows you only associate pole dancers with strippers and nothing else...
