Double standards. Bo' Rai Cho should go because he can throw up on whim, something that is a natural part of the human digestive system, yet, when something as horrid as Reptile does far more vile things noone ever lifts an eyebrow.
It's like deriding someone who barfs for a bit, but allowing 2 girls 1 cup, or swap.avi a free pass. Also considering that no other fighting game to my knowledge included this, I should say it is fairly underrepresented and not public knowledge.

I don't want Bo'Rai Cho out, and I have nothing against puke in a videogame as long it makes sense... but Bo's Puke Puddle move was simply lame. It's the move that I find lame, not the fact that he pukes.

Fair enough,
Bo' Rai Cho's puke puddle move can be made better. I will think of improved applications of vomit for Bo' Rai Cho.
(just came to my mind, with this system, Bo's improved puke puddle could spontaneously burst into fire on the ground as an obstacle)

Adding "as a playable character" to the argument is cheating. Noob Saibot is from MK2 the same as Smoke and Jade are, and the same as Reptile, Goro, and Shang are from MK1.

Do you find Sub-Zero's original ice puddle lame? Because it was the exact same move until suddenly in this game where they changed it to grabbing your feet instead of being slippery.

DAMN Tony the Tiger you beat me to the punch a good two pages ago lol.
Even if he does look a bit reminicest of the mask of pantasiem or wutever that move was called (IT WAS A GIRL ... GASP!) Noob looks dope, i like how they gave him like many have said "the noob that never was" look. alot like havik but thats ok he looks cool, befor i was wondering how theyyle have both smoke and noob in the game and both be unnique but after seeing that gameplay i have nothing to worry about

I really hate to bring up the puking thing because...well...it's a dead horse.
But I never saw Reptile as puking. I thought he was unleashing venom like a cobra.
Not a Kobra, mind.
But yeah, it's not a perfect comparison because we don't know how Zaterran biology works. They have prehensile tongues, obviously. They must have advanced chromatophores for their invisibility. It's possible that he is unleashing stomach acid in his acid spit, force ball and other moves, but it just doesn't seem that way to me.
On the subject of this X-ray, I'm at peace with the puking. I'm not happy about it, but it does make sense.
My issue with Bo' Rai Cho is how they portrayed his bodily functions. They were supposed to be funny (they weren't). Bo' Rai Cho is a terrible character because he's supposed to be a wise mentor figure and he's actually a drunk idiot intended for six year olds. It'd be like mixing Iroh in Avatar with Jar Jar Binks.
Nobody ever thought Reptile's acid spit was funny. Ok, maybe when you saw it for the first time in MK2.
But yeah, last post on the subject from me. This horse is very, very dead.

First off, I really hope noob retains/has his throwing stars as a projectile. I mean, his disabler thing is cool, but I just hope all his projectiles aren't the same ol' generic force ball type projectile, just of a different color or shade, that so many other characters already share. He needs something that sets him apart , specialty weapons wise, and throwing stars are that. (well aside form reiko, who won't be in this game)

That would actually be awesome! The whole slippery puddle effect is just too boring in itself, like Subbie's slippery ice puddle in the old games. But it would be a neat little thing to have Bo's vomit being so full of alcohol that he can set it on fire.
A fatality could be him vomitting all over the opponent, then torch him. XD

How so?
Is this game using Jade or Smoke (or Noob) as they were in MKII?
Reptile as he was in MK1?
No- the characters are based off their playable debut.
And if you want to strip "Playable" from the argument,
Rain should still be included in any game that includes characters from UMK3

Noob should take damage from Reptile if he X-Rays him.

Noob looks pretty cool. I like the costume they've given him, he looks all dark, and all that. It works.
What I don't like is that he has that damn disable ball again. That was one of the reasons why he was borderline broken in MKT, and therefore I dislike its appearance in this game. Also, his X-ray is extremely lame.

As far as the puke debate goes, I would like if it was a progressive effect. Like, if Jade were to get x-rayed again, she should puke blood. Maybe not the exact same animation just turned red, but u get it...

So far, they have been going by first appearances, not playable appearances. We know this because the Pit Bio revealed in the fall mentions Reptile's job at the bottom of the pit. It's possible they may not approach all the hidden characters this way, but I don't see that happening.
Also, you could fight Noob long before you could play as him. That goes a long way if you ask me.

It's not really about moves, it's about when the character entered the MK universe.
And I got no problem with saying "Rain should be in because he's a UMK3 character", but saying Noob debuted in UMK3 or Trilogy is lying. Noob Saibot debuted in MK2. The word "debut" means first appearance.

Not a double standard. I hate that reptile fatality too. Puking just is not something that should be thought of in video games. As for it being "a natural part of the digestive system," as I said previously, so are several other things which, I think, unless you have some weird fetish, we all agree shouldn't be included either.
Sadly though, since Boon/Sanchez/Whoeverthef***else has a puke fetish, we all have to share in it too. If you're into that freaky s*** good for you. I'm not though, and it sucks that I have to abide it just to play a game I like.
I think the thing that sums up my feelings in general is that they're trying TOO hard to be "over the top" with the fatalities and the gore. It's not enough to just show a character dying and even cutting them to pieces isn't hardcore enough, so we have to have them doing disgusting things to the victim like doing some kind of sick puke porn move or burning them with a flaming fart (not this game, I know. Well... I hope not this game).
So what's next? How more can we humiliate the victim? Rape is the only thing they haven't put on the table so far. If you're okay with this, would you be okay with that? And if not, how do you justify one but not the other?
