And Rain was in UMK3. Yes, it was for the "consoles" but it still UMK3 either way you try and slice it.

I know what you're saying here. I mean, technically, his first appearance was in MKT which coincided with the SNES and Genesis versions of UMK3, which also included him and Noob for some reason. I know lots of characters aren't needed. But Rain is unpopular even with the creators.

And also, I refuse to acknowledge Chameleon as a character. This is a courtesy I also extend to Meat and Mokap.

This is a screenshot of just the moment before Jade is hit by Noob's aerial attack. Before this, she dashes towards Noob, extends her staff and uses it to pole-vault as shown in this screenshot. It could be a simple dash attack where she will do a kick, but it could also be her new version of the Blazing Nitro Kick, making it unique from Cage's Shadow Kick! Or it could be something completely else...

I hope to see some Jade gameplay soon.

Also... I'm not sure how I feel about Jade's staff being a small stick that can extend into her staff. I was hoping it would work like Kitana's fans and Mileena's sais where she simply conjures the staff when needed.
However, I LOVE that her staff is glowing purple! It's awesome. ^^

Rain was in UMK3........on the SNES but still he was in. You also said a lot of people don't like him but a lot of people do like him too, including me. He deserves to be in the new MK just as much as any other character from MK1-UMK3.

This is the best rendition of Noob Saibot EVER! From the looks to the moves with the moves...everything is perfect. 10/10 MK game guaranteed. I'm not even the slightest bit disappointed with this news release.

For what it's worth, I'm with you on wanting Rain in this new game. Besides being one of my favorite characters, I think his moves would lend themselves well to this game (especially if my hypothesis about the moves being much more integrated into combos is correct).

I'm kinda with Queve. That being said, I'm not upset that Noob got an awesome reveal, in fact, I think he looks awesome. A character that I found 0 interest in at first looks amazing and I want to try him out. It's more so that a lot of our favorites kinda got skipped over during their reveal. Like Jade, I've only seen vids of her getting beat up, not really anything on gameplay. I think the ninjas are more recognizable to the casual gamer, so that's why they get so much promotion, but it would be nice to see everyone else in action...

He really does look like an evil, twisted version of his old human self. kinda has a freeze move, and a slide movie kinda like old sub.

I hate the whole "Well Rain is the least liked ninja, so ha!" excuse. No duh. Dude has only had three appearances and two were in the mid 90s. Nobody except for die hard fans even know who he is. It's not like he's been in game after game after game after game(like some characters) and still isn't liked. He has not been given a chance. If you could give him that chance to develop into something more than "The purple ninja who only shows up once every ten years"", then why not?

Like I said, I'm not sitting here saying that Rain is the Jesus Christ of MK, but if a non-MK3 character could make it in along with some red hooker, why not Rain? Especially when Rain was one of the few relevant characters in the previous game.

But anyway, Boon said he can't confirm if Rain will be in or DLC. We'll just have to wait and see.
