Nice to see my other boy is back and he looks badass. I loved his MKX old man look but this is also a great design. Simple but effective. Also, yes, he looks exactly like Austin Aeris. Y'all already beat me to it.

Very plain design. Out of the characters revealed so far he has the most uninspired design along with Sonya. I would not say it is bad design like Sub-Zero but it is very boring. I think he looks better in MKX. Don't really care for the bonus costume. I could take it or leave it. Not really excited at all to be honest. I really think he could do with a game off. Kano was also the eighth character revealed for MKX is memory serves correctly. Might change my mind when seeing gameplay.

Loved Kano in MK9. He was my second main after Kitana.

Hated Kano in MKX. I hate the bald look, and his gameplay was very stiff.

You know, Kano is always the one playable character from the original MK that I say I'm okay with leaving out, yet he always makes it. And when he makes it, I'm always impressed. In MKX, I think they actually gave him his best design yet. This one I think is a little bit of a step down, but it still looks good. The facial details are on point here. I can't be mad that he made it in this game. He's a LOT younger looking here; I always thought Kano worked better as a little older, gruff dude. It will be interesting to seem him as his young self though. I think the key now is to give him a bigger story role. Give him a playable chapter, give him more lines. Make sure he's in the frame wherever it works, and have him involved in the conversations about what's going on. MKX gave him a perfect design. MK11 needs to make me want Kano in the next game.

Eh. I would prefer if he sits out from this game. I prefer if a forgotten 3D-era character or an MKX character got reveal.

That pirate-like costume look interesting though.

also weird in mk9 he had the tattoo on both his arms/chest, but then in mkx and now mk11 he has the one arm/chest

Why does “classic” carry so much weight with some people? I’d take Erron Black, Kotal Khan, Dvorah, Cassie or Takeda over half the Trilogy cast.

I’d also rather see them take another stab at Fujin, Sareena, Reiko, Kai, Mavado, Kira, Nitara and Havik over bringing someone from the Trilogy era back simply because someone like Kung Lao, Reptile or Kano has had several more games to establish an identity, a story, and a nostalgia factor with fans.

For me, I see a series that’s found multiple ways of bringing back several fighters over and over again while others with real potential are continuously left behind. The more they do that, the more fatigued I am by the stagnating roster and the more wistful I become for the characters that could’ve been, but once again weren’t.

If some like Sonya, Kano, Johnny, Kung Lao, Mileena, Jax, Reptile, Ermac, etc could get one game off, I’d miss them more and welcome their return, just as I welcome the return of Jade, Noob, Shang etc for this game.

All I want is some balance. The more they find ways to throw a massive portion of the Trilogy cast at me, the more tired of them I become and believe me when I say I don’t want to be tired of any of them. I like Kano, I like the rest of those characters too. But it amazes me that as different as they want each game to be, just how safe the roster always turns out.

I hope we’ll still get some curve balls, but I’m certainly not betting on it.

I got the same opinion. I am not satisfied with his new look....Hopefully he get many option to customize him...

I don't get why he has the tattoo on his left arm ONLY in his standard costume and not in the Brazilian one.

I dig this new look as it really fits the part of a younger Kano that still has to get the right arm tattoed. Also, I like the idea of him serving drinks in a fight club. I mean he is a mob, when he has spare time he has to enjoy life!

Can someone explain the Brazil stuff to me? Nothing against Brazil, but I'm just sort of puzzled. Is MK super big in Brazil? Does Brazil have a big fighting game scene? I don't really pay attention to international receptions of games or the competetive scene.

Good for Brazil, I guess. It's always nice to have a bit of representation. I dislike region locked skins as a concept, though.

As for Kano himself, he looks good. Not nearly old enough, but sands of time and all that. I've got a bit of a soft-spot for Aussie thug, so I'm happy with this.

Skarlet already fits the role of the lady in red, so bid farewell to Kira.

The newcomers of mk x are some of the best new creations since the Tobias departure. So it's safe to assume that if Kotal and his entourage aren't in mk11 starting roster, they will be in as DLC or in mk12. Boon has a lot of pride and wants to show that mk has many great characters and ideas even without Tobias inspiration.

Kenshi, Tanya and Bo' Rai Cho are saved from oblivion. For now. But I wouldn't be surprised if all three of them skipped mk11.

Sareena,Havik and Fujin have potential, but clearly NRS doesn't believe in them. If the creators are the first to not have faith in their creatures, someone must face the sheer truth of it. Have you read Frankenstein?

I won't waste my time to explain why every other character from the 3D era is just a bad gimmick character or terrible and uninspired and uninteresting design/moveset, etc.

Asking for their return is like wishing the XFL to come back (it will happen in 2020 sadly) just because NFL is too classic and it should skip a game or two to make room for other less-talented, hence less used, players.

Not only is Mortal Kombat big in Brazil, martial-arts in general is very big there. Ever heard of Brazilian jui-jitsu? It's one of the best martial-arts. Some of the greatest martial-artists of all time are Brazilian (Anderson Silva for example). Brazil deserves love, and they've been getting it (MKX, now MK11). It's a good thing.

Not Kano again I really thought he would be out this game, yes he is an original but he is so boring and has no story relevance anymore.

I really thought he was wrapped up in MKX when Sonya beat him up and captured him but now it looks like we are getting a younger Kano from an alternate timeline to occupy roster spots for many more games to come, yay!!!

Seriously, I can remember maybe 2 matches in MK9 and MKX where my opponent chooses this character. I never play as him. Honestly, he's a side piece. Has been since MK3.

I’ve never even attempted to play Kano. & I’ve never been really excited to see him revealed. But all the same, I am glad he is in the game. He is classic and a badass antihero.. MK wouldn’t be the same without him.

plus his main skin looks great, simple but effective.

I have always thought Kano had the most gruesome fatalities because there is zero fantasy or mythic about him. He is a normal dude and seeing him kill people in brutal ways is nuts! (Or being killed).. this time his skin is even more normal guy looking. I think it’s gonna be great! Haha
