Wow gotta love the jumping to conclusions on this site. We went from yesterday with a few sketchy confirmations of characters to now including Reiko, Sareena, Li Mei and Takeda and Kombat Pack 3!!!! Come one people most of you confirming these Kombat pack fighters are the same people that up until a week ago believed that Mileena and Shinnok were super secret unlockables or DLC but that was clearly debunked!

How about we all just pump the brakes on this for a second, perhaps some of the original dlc names are legit but don’t get carried away confirming 3 Kombat packs (which wouldn’t possibly be written into the game at this early stage). Remember this mass hysteria scenario is how everyone started believing the unlockable Mileena/Shinnok/Shang bull shit from a few weeks ago.

Not Kombat Packs, FIGHTER Packs. Which will most likely consist of 3 characters each like Injustice 2's DLC.

Hey I just found all the crafting recipes for the Krypt, thought I'd pull it out because it will probably be useful down the road. I've read that if you craft things with the wrong items in the forge, it actually penalizes you, because you lose the materials, and get no reward... so... ya'know... probably good to know these. Save on wasted materials...

I'm guessing Joker & Ash are the least far along. They don't have sections of their own Intro dialogue with every character. They only have bits of intro dialogue in other characters' sections.

I hope they go ahead and release a trailer for Kombat Pack 1 Monday...

Well 1) A third pack is in the actual files for the game, so thats as confirmed as it gets. As for how the packs are split and its more than 9, thats pure speculation as no one knows. 2) Those other characters were all leaked with the same characters that are now 100% confirmed so.... perhaps they were considered and the others were chosen instead. Or maybe there are coming at a later date like X's KP2.

Someone pointed out on Reddit that the 3 Fighter Packs may just be leftover from Injustice II. There are other bits of leftover Injustice II code peppered throughout the document. Such as references to guilds. And the title card code literally says "Injustice II"

That said, I think the 9 characters are still pretty damn undeniable at this point. No matter what form the final packs take.

Yeah, I'm sure Kronika and Sektor came close to being on the roster at some point early in development but that wasn't meant to be.

My only question when it comes to the Fighter Packs stuff in the codes and the 9 DLC characters is that if they do 3 Fighter Packs of 3- the patterns are a little off.

For example- Fighter Pack ONE- 2 MK characters + 1 Guest

Fighter Pack 2- 2 MK Characters + 1 Guest

Understandable pattern so far, right?

But then we get- Fighter Pack 3- 1 MK Character + 2 Guests.

But like you said, perhaps the Fighter Pack stuff is just leftover from Injustice 2. Either way, at the end of the day we know for a fact we're getting 9 DLC characters and quite frankly, NRS can dispense them however they like- there doesn't have to be a "pattern"- they can throw it out like slop and we'd still eat it up.

But I don't know, I still can't help but think there may be 3 more characters in addition to these 9. Perhaps they may add their info into the game later.

Either way, even if there's no more- I'm more than satisfied with the 5 extra MK alums we're getting.

Its entirely possible its packs of 3. Guess we will find out lol So exciting!

I love how I've done such a 180 with this game.

I actually feel like a Mortal Kombat fan again.

With MKX, it all felt like disappointment after disappointment, it also didn't help that we went such long stretches without any news...only for them to reveal something super obvious we already knew. God, those were dark days.

MK11 has tagged me back in, mind, soul, and body.

While I'm pumped for Nightwolf, Sheeva, Sindel and Shang - I was hoping for 12 total so that the door remained open for characters like Smoke, Sektor, Daegon, or Havik.

I'm indifferent on some of the guests. Spawn is great, and they always have a "surprise" DLC that's outside the box, so that would be Joker. Par for the course, I guess.

I would have even settled for a redesigned Chameleon where they lumped all the male ninjas in Triborg style. However, as it stands, what we're getting is a little underwhelming.

I am so happy to hear it, Ahnka. 11 definitely has a WAY better selection of DLC. If they add any to those we know now, it will only be a major plus no matter who it is.

I don't think it's IMPOSSIBLE we could get more down the road... in a perfect word, but it's too early to tell right now. They're talking a lot about how they expect this game to have a longer life than any of their games before, but I feel like they said the same thing about MKX in the leadup to that game tbh, so who knows? *Shrug*

Street Fighter V had a lot of flaws, but one thing I love about that game was we got 3 years worth of full DLC lineups that added 18 characters and counting to the game. Assuming these 9 are the plan for 2019 (If we only got 1 a month after April, that would still take us beyond the end of the year)... I'd LOVE to learn we were getting another lineup in 2020. But it's way too early to predict that. I doubt if NRS has even made that decision yet.
