Khrome could be the true champion of the Elder Gods because Shujinko is not.

Slight problem there is that Shujinko was never intended to be. That was only mentioned I believe in Scorpion's ending.

What about the name Cerium or Ceres?

As far as the Khrome concept, since Hanky keeps bugging me for feedback...I think Wolverine claws are a bad idea. You don't want to rip off anything that famous.

Usually a reasonable price for an art commission is between $25 and $100, depending on black and white vs. color, flat tones vs. shading, whether it's just a one-character shot or a whole scene with other characters, poses, and a background, that sort of thing.

That's why I balked. Either Hanky's getting ripped off hard or he bought somewhere between 7 and 14 copies of the same thing.

Either way, he just made Billy Madison seem like Einstein.

Unoriginality at it's finest. I'll give credit to the artist themselves for actually finding a way to mix the Silver Surfer and the White Power Ranger together with a mixture of chrome skin. But then again, it's not that hard to do. But I'm going to nag and complain that you want this guy to have wolverine claws when you wanted this guy to act more like the T-1000, who can shapeshift into anything it wants. Why give him claws when you can basically shift into anything?

But what I'm really going to give credit to them, is the fact that they're obviously over charging you big time for this concept. Either you've convinced them that they believe they're drawing a concept that is going to go into a game, or they are THAT smart and lied to you about character concepts charging that much money. As what Razor said, that is ideally the amount of money that goes into these kinds of drawings for people. I draw people concepts (whether it'd be a character they want me to sketch or a tattoo) and I don't charge them that much, depending on the material they give out to me. I'm more so leaning on the side that they fooled you into believing that concepts cost that much, they really don't and you wasted more money than you should have.

The Wolverine claws, White Ninja Ranger outfit, and metallic skin need to go.

Not to mention this design almost looks like a cheap costume for Zed from League of Legends.

You need to get your eyes checked. White Power Ranger has headband, hood, full arm sleeves, and trousers. Khrome's design borrows from the Khrome's figurine design.

No, really, he looks like Zed. His other costume. Not his primary.

As much as I shouldn't do this, I'm going to give my gripe.

The art for Khrome is clearly a mash-up of various other characters, namely Scorpion (torso), Reptile (mask), Ermac (pants, cloth), and Baraka/Wolverine (blades). This art lacks any form of originality, as well as any real effort into establishing a strong image to separate the character from all others.

Your issue with this, as I've stated before, is that you are entirely too fixed on creating the image of Khrome rather than Khrome himself.

You're not trying to make a character, you just want a pretty picture. Well, there's your picture. Enjoy.

It's all about appearance to you, isn't it? All looks, no personality... just like your character concept of this Khrome character of yours. That's why it'll never turn into anything other than this, no matter how much money you throw at it.

You've shown very little interest in making this character a reality and just as others have said you simply just want a nice picture/drawing/sketch/concept of your character. If you're serious about this I wouldn't just make a topic about it before having concrete details that are original to your character.

Make a biography, history, personality, list of powers, special moves, then maybe, JUST maybe people could take you more serious.

Cool, the guy can't take criticism. All it's gonna lead up to is another bogus claim about his Swedish fetish. At least people are TRYING to be nice for once to you and help you out. If you can't take the criticism then stop bugging people for their input of your unoriginal character. But, this attitude towards people who are trying to help is nothing new. At least the artist got $700 richer by this character concept so there's some good that came out of this.

Seeing this lack of attentiveness towards creating a character makes me want to create Khrome myself. There are so many possibilities, too.



Really, before anything, you have to know who your character is. You can't just draw something out and expect it to have life. You have to give it life.

How old is Khrome? What are his emotions? Who does he love? Who does he hate? Does Khrome have a depressing past? Does he have a bright future? What is he going after? What is his purpose?

These are the questions that must be answered. These are what give a character life. A drawing only goes so far.
