Thanks everybody I'm glad Akari is getting some nice feedback in this tournament he was actually the least imaginative of my 3 character ideas to bad I thought of the others after registration.

Although, I only entered Krustyacean as a joke, I kind of had the same problem. I've since come up with a few characters that would have been far more awesome. I think so, anyway.

Anyhoo, I simply love the trap-laying elements to Akari's special moves. The only problem I have is doing an enhanced detonation seems like it could be exploitable, allowing for more spheres to have the enhanced effect. I'd say only the ones laid with an enhanced use should have the effect and there shouldn't be an enhanced detonate. His ending has that same bittersweet feel that a lot of the old MK endings had.

Round 1: Tao Fei... both were pretty interesting, tough choice.

Match 2: Akari. This one was a little hard, but I felt Akari was more original.
Match 3: Nyctaro. Casilde reminds me a little too much of Nitara, but Nyctaro is pretty original. Although his physical description of having only two arms, no retractable blades, and a lizard like tail don't make sense with him being a shokan-tarkatan crossbreed...

Looking ahead at tonight's matchups, there are some very good ones....I'm gonna have to re-read some characters it looks like :)

These are actually based on the 5 elements in Chinese culture. Whereas about 80% of cultures use the fairly standard Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, in China the elements are Wood, Metal, Fire, Water, and Earth. Given his name and region of origin, it seemed fitting to go with the more loal version of the Elements.

To my surprise, I'm not even upset that I lost.

Malice is a great character, and I hope she goes really far.

Oksana is still badass, though.
