Match 1- Fear
In truth Fear didn't win this match as much as Scorch lost it. Scorch was just a mix of Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Reptile and had no personality of his own.
Match 2- Salzar
I went back and forth between these two but in the end I thought that Salzar's fantasy theme fit in better with MK than a street brawler type character.
Match 3- Russel
I thought both of the characters in this match were very good but I went with Russel for two reasons. First Frigid being Sub-Zero's long lost father really bothered me. Especially since Sub-Zero has a brother who also controls ice and Sub-Zero's dad has been established as being a Lin Kuei assassin. Second Russel had the more unique moveset. I was really digging his crazy "I'm going to bite you just because I'm a crazy motherfucker"

Scorch: I felt the character needed more depth and needed to add something fresh in both gameplay terms and in terms of story. Felt a bit like a combination of a lot of Lin Kuei assassins. Also spelling Lin Kuei wrong wasn't a nice touch.
Fear: Completely opposite to Scorch, I think the author over detailed things, especially with the dialogue, sometimes less is more and I felt even after I can tell what is to come, I was told in great detail that same thing. Also I didn't like the dialogues due to the fact that Shang Tsung and Kahn didn't seem to talk like themselves but the character itself was well done and must be praised. I liked his powers as they seemed fresh.
My pick - Fear
Salzar: Well written and a decent character, enjoyed the development but felt he was quite inspired by Kratos' God of War storyline. The Bow of Apollo (?) move he has in the game is what came to my head most of the time when I pictured the character's own moves related to archery but overall it was a coherently developed character who could be greatly improved with more small details.
Aurore: Again well written with enough details to conjure an image and understanding of the character. She seems very real in a realistic sort of way, not the average MK warrior but she felt more of a character for Street Fighter. But aside from that, her abilities were simple and explained through her harnessing her chi. Perhaps a bit more mythology attached to her would do her good, or perhaps some more explanation of how she has such powers as apart from her powers, she seems like the girl next door. I liked her playfulness though and it reminded me of Tekken/Soul Calibur characters actually.
My Pick - This one was difficult but I think I like Salzar better though the character needs more work in my opinion and Aurore could have snatched it but barely misses out.
Frigid: Well from what I've read above I feel the need to clarify a bit. It seems some of the voters have looked down on this character as unnecessary because of his use of cryomancy. I wasn't aware that the KAK competition was actually made while keeping this in mind that do we need another "x" type character in MK but rather based on the actual content and quality of the character itself. I think the focus though should be on his role as one of the leaders of the Cryomancers. Considering the story developments, we're unlikely to actually have the Cryomancers being a big part of MK as the only thing they had was in Deception with the Armor Sub-Zero wore. As a Cyborg, that seems unlikely to happen.
Also important imo is the fact that he's not a ninja type character someone had mentioned, he's a sorcerer and possibly a good or neutral one, which I believe can be good for MK considering we have Shang Tsung or had him at least along with Quan Chi as two deadly sorcerers both being downright evil. I hope the other details in the gameplay aspects of Frigid is looked at a bit more because I hope they add that different twist and flavour to him than just another Sub-Zero type character which some of the voters may have felt. At the end of the day, if that is how he is perceived then it has been my failure not to have portrayed in a better way. As for someone who had asked, yes it is a photoshopped image, I'm not a good artist but I can photoshop decently. Edit: And also he's not Sub-Zero's father, more like Kuai Liang's grandfather if anything because in the Ending I wrote he had a child with a human female who gave birth to Sub-Zero's father so that makes him grandpa lol
Russell - As direct competitor to Frigid (my own character) I think I may be a bit biased but I totally disagree with someone who said that this was a poor character along with Frigid. In fact, out of the 6 in this round I felt Russell was one of the better characters created. If Frigid is to lose to him, I will consider it an honour. I think Russell's development could have been slightly different especially the end but I liked his overall storyline direction. I really enjoyed some aspects of the charater, the cheer crazyness he could have shown in gameplay is interesting and pleasing. Wonderful entrance, win pose and taunt. Overall a solid concept, which can be improved but well done :)
My Pick - I feel that Russel's gameplay mechanics don't bring much to the plate. If broadly stated, Cryomancy = Sub-Zero and Sorcery = Shang Tsung then Knife powers = Kano and crazy madness = Havik ? (without the ability to mutilate himself ofcourse. Another reason Russell's gameplay seems to fall short in my opinion is because the moves such as Catch and Mmmm don't make a lot of sense to me. For clarity I'll explain why..
Catch: Russell throws his knife at the opponent then runs to the other
So what gave him the power to exactly bend time and space to run to side of the screen so he is behind the opponent.
the other end of the screen as quickly as his knife traveled ? ..What if the opponent blocks ? ..Plus it would be the sort of thing that if spammed would be impossible to defend against, every projectile thrown would change his location and the opponent can't do much unless he/she has a teleport.
Mmmmm: Russell bites the arm of the opponent.
So how exactly will the fight continue ? Like Armless Kombat ? ..that would not be a good thing to implement in other modes apart from Test Your Luck because that one move if hit could nullify a lot of the opponents other moves. Take Raiden for example, take his arms out, and what can he do ? ..No fly move, no shock moves, only thing he can do is kick and teleport.
So as shameless as this feels, and I am too biased here as well and I will have to pick Frigid but I hope my criticism does not offend the author of this character or any other character, I mean no harm and I would also appreciate any criticism hurled at Frigid as well if it is well explained. :)

My votes go for:
Fear - I thought that his character had some fresh gameplay that could be implemented with the spiritual reincarnation move. I think that and other aspects can be expounded on creatively.
Aurore - This was the best match-ups so far in the tournament. I debated over which one to pick as I liked both characters a lot. In a match up as this close, as both characters were written nicely, straight to the point, and concise with their description. In the end, I chose Aurore, because of her fighting style is somewhat unique to MK. I think the move set could use some creativity but the Salzar character was very nicely put together as well. The move set of Salzar is great also. I'd think either one could move on but I gave the slight edge to Aurore.
Frigid - I thought the description of the character was vivid enough to separate his identity away from Sub-Zero while also creating a contrasting move set from Sub-Zero's character. I also like the aspect of him being a good sorcerer.

My vote goes for:
Snake - I think his fighting style is more consistent with his proposed move set. Although I Eternus is a great character I give the edge to Snake.
Black Widow - Because she has a move set that would translate great to the MK universe and she also has a plausible story that fits in with MK's storyline from herself and in relation to other established characters in the game. She also has a unique look to her fighting attire as well, all the elements to make a standout character in my opinion.
Sapheera - I gave the slight edge to Sapheera due to her move set although I didn't really did the aspect of being fully nude.

Yeah, just a little backed up and busy lately. They're still coming though.
